This is a charming house in a quiet neighborhood in Westminster. Waking up to views of Standley Lake everyday is amazing, as is starting your day in the hot tub. I loved to spend time in the backyard watching the birds and BBQing. The host is very communicative through the entire process and let's you know if there are things to look for through out your stay. There is everything you could possibly need on a stay away from home and I felt comfortable having it as a home base while in vacation. I will definitely be back!
My partner and I had a great stay we really enjoyed the spacious king bed and rested well on the mattress. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We had everything we needed
Karen is an extremely gracious host and was wonderful to deal with.

Great location! Close to just about anything you want to do in the Denver area! Back yard was nice and good for our dog & to sit outside on a nice day! - we did not use the pool or hot tub - pool was closed as we were there in March - and we did not have time for the hot tub. The house could use a little TLC - but was fully functional for all of our needs. Karen was great to communicate any information we needed and responded quickly to any questions.
Karen was a great host! Great communication and she thinks of everything to make her guests comfortable

The location of this house was perfect for our trip to go see a concert at the red rocks. Great location to travel in and out of Denver and trips to go see wild life. Was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the beds were. If you’re not a fan of sleeping on a more stiff mattress than look elsewhere. The property could use some TLC pictures made it look a lot nicer than it was, especially the living room table with the top of the table being a piece of left over flooring from when they did the back sun room floor over. The table top floor was jaggedly cut. Woke up one morning to a mouse in the kitchen and one outside in a water bowl floating. Opened up the hot tub and was instantly hit with an over whelming smell of chemicals and appeared to be floating debris in it. She was a very graceful host
Adorable, relaxing home that was perfect for our summer road trip to CO. Great location that's somewhat remote with access to nature. We loved the hot tub, and our dogs loved the yard and the dog park near the neighborhood. Communication with the owner was helpful throughout the whole process.
The location of the home was perfect. Karen was a very responsive host, and you could tell she was above average as the house was set up with many extras for us such as plenty of paper products, cleaning items, cold drinks in the fridge, and extra blankets, pillows, towels, and books. The only thing I would suggest to add, some kid and grown-up games and a deck or two of cards. Otherwise it was a great stay!
Great place for my husband and I to stay at while in the area for a family wedding! We brought our dog with us and really enjoyed the backyard with that view! The house was very spacious and offered the little amenities that made it feel more pampered than home. We would definitely come if we are back in the area.
This property has an amazing view of the lake and mountains, very comfortable patio with a pool and hot tub in back yard. There is lots of space to sit and lounge, fenced in yard was great for our puppy. The host is great at responding, we had an awesome stay and hated when we had to leave!

Glad you liked it- and thank you for leaving the home spotless! You’ll have to come back in the winter when you can enjoy snowfall in the hot tub and fresh salmon on the grill. Right now the fall colors are beautiful
We came in for an extended trip to visit family. The space was very comfortable and the host gave us access to many perks--which we appreciate! We loved the bed and bedding and got great rest. The outside space was wonderful. Also, the host was SUPER accommodating and communicative! She left a ton of information about the area and we loved love loved the location!! Thank you!!
The location worked out great for us, halfway between Denver and Boulder. Karen, the host, was excellent to work with. The house itself was okay. Someone had left the dishwasher dirty so we chose not to use it as well as the pool and hot tub were dirty. Could be that it was the end of the season so no maintenance on the pool and hot tub. The place served our purpose since we were out during the day.R. Moore
This house has a fun beach bungalow vibe though it’s very big and has a lot of rooms & various sitting areas. The back yard with hot tub, pool, 4 different seating areas, plants, and a great view of the nearby lake was our favorite feature.
Despite temps in the 90s, the window a/c unit was sufficient to keep the whole house cool.
The host lives very nearby and was very helpful When we had questions and when we needed to receive an express mail.
We spent a lot of time in Boulder and in Denver, and the central location of this house was ideal for both locations.
We plan to stay there again next time we visit our Boulder relatives during a busy Boulder season (ie start of the school year)

Thank you! We love to see a happy family in the home. We are putting in a living room fireplace so it will be cozy for the winter and holidays--please come back any time.
EVERYTHING you would want for a beautiful, comfortable, fun stay with great, clean indoor and outdoor accommodations! Also, amazing Standly Lake and open space for walking and viewing beautiful landscapes full of flora (and fuana, if you are lucky) just steps from the front door! Equipped with everything you would need for your stay! Even spices to cook with in the kitchen! The owners are AWESOME! They stay away unless you need them for anything. Book it! You will be happy you did. One more thing. The house is at the end of a cul de sac, in a quaint, safe neighborhood! But, when enjoying the fenced-in back yard, you over-look nothing but an amazing landscape and lake. You would never know you were in a neighborhood! 10/10!

I’m sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The vrbo listing clearly states we use a whole house swamp cooler. There are 2 large tvs- one in sunroom and 1 in bedroom, and there is a pillow top mattress on the bed. Your review is not consistent with previous guests- but I will re- check everything. Thank you.
About the host
Hosted by karen williams
We love hosting VRBO guests: they are adventurous, well traveled, and unique! We have met great guests from all corners of the world. And most guests that travel consistently with pets are very respectful. We’ve had wonderful guests that have worked thru hurricanes , snowstorms, and power outages like champs. And moments like having a bobcat on the porch ( for the photographer guest) are memorable.
Note: this VRBO is our secondary home- we strive to make it a fun, clean, functional home. Its not the luxury home you see on tv commercials so if you are looking for high end this is not it😳
We are a retired couple that enjoys visiting very remote places. We use vrbo often, and understand that many accommodations and lifestyles are much different than our own primary residence, and we enjoy this- We’re happy to share the beautiful Denver-Boulder area with everyone . And, go CU Buffs!!!
We try and make sure the home is a good fit for guests, and we are accurate with the listing and pictures. Based on 1 review we have changed cleaning services…and im learning that no one cleans like the owner. Sigh.
Why they chose this property
Great neighbors, no homes directly behind us. Good view of lake and mountains. Best location ever- seems secluded but easy access to all metro conveniences. Easy access to hwy 36, i-25 and nw parkway.
What makes this property unique
The outdoor patio is a relaxing area to eat, sit, and enjoy the view of Standley Lake. Hiking to the ranger station and the lake across the st is quick and easy. Bald eagle viewing is spectacular . The outdoors can be enjoyed year round.
