The cabin was clean andcomfortable and perfect for our getaway. Great proximity to Black Mountain and Asheville. We would have liked to meet Tim, but it was a great visit. We would recommend this place to others.
We loved staying here and would definitely stay again. The weather was a little cool, so we didn't enjoy the outdoor spaces as much as we hoped, but the condo and grounds are beautiful and beautifully appointed. Thank you for your hospitality!

Awesome cabin, everything was clean and ready for whatever your stay may bring. Host was communicative, didn’t have any issues while we visited. Black Mountain had several great breakfast spots we enjoyed. Also a short drive to Asheville where we checked out the Arboretum and the Biltmore. My husband and I would love to return one day.
This cabin is a true gem! Very close to Black Mountain but still in the woods. So relaxing to sit on the porch and listen to the breeze rustle the trees and the trickle of the creek over the rocks! The cabin is so clean and has everything you could possibly need! From the comfy mattress to the awesome rain shower head. From the drawer of items you may have forgotten to the bowl of snacks on the counter. The owner has thought of everything! Black Mountain is a great little town with quaint shops and good dining! We will definitely look to stay here again.

Host was welcoming and very responsive. Cabin was super clean and cozy and had every amenity you could ever need. Especially loved the shower!!! Plus sitting on the porch looking at the view, listening to the babbling brook and hanging at the fire pit, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was fabulous!! Definitely will be back!

What a little gem this place is! Loved everything about it. Great location for our needs, fantastic shower, cozy bedroom and living room. Wish the weather had been better to sit out on the porch, it was so inviting. Ran out of time to use the great firepit area next to a babbling brook. Great for 1 or 2 people. Will certainly book again if we are in the area.

Nice cabin, perfect location
Overall the stay was nice, however the best part was the location. Surrounded by the mountains and woods, but also right outside the city and just close enough that drive to Asheville doesnt have to be a full day trip!
Nice place to unwind, relax, and take a real vacation.
Nice, clean, well furnished cabin. Nice porch and rocking chairs to relax. Great bed, and nice shower. Want find a nicer place. Enjoyed our stay very much.

About the host
Hosted by Tim Bumbarger
We are originally from Saint Petersburg FL and moved to the Mountains 15 years ago. Several years ago, we added a wonderful guest house/cabin for Friends and family. Afterwards we decided to share with others. The Cabin is unique and many of the trims are built from Oak and Beech that was present and repurposed during construction. Before cabin was built I would often go and sit near stream and build a fire while listening to the running water. I cleared and area to have a large surprise birthday party for my wife and then decided to design and build cabin for others to enjoy the peaceful waterway and life in Black Mountain.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is set in beautiful trees and a wandering stream. Cabin only a few minutes from downtown Black Mountain yet fills like set in forest.
What makes this property unique
There is wonderful large front porch overlooking stream with rocking chairs and table for coffee or cocktails. Listen to birds or get a peek a wildlife. Grill out your favorite foods. Enjoy lazy days in the mountains and local areas. The property is close to town yet feels like you are miles away. Many repurposed wood materials are incorporated into the cabin and came from the property itself.
