This three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home in Shirtail Gulch is less than one mile east of Deadwood on paved roads. Lazy Bear will be a popular spot after a day on the slopes, on the trails, or touring the beautiful Black Hills. All the conveniences of home, yet close to Deadwood gaming and dining, attractions, with easy access to I-90.

Lazy Bear Lodge is set in a very private secluded area surrounded by Black Hills forest. With a wrap-around deck and a private hot tub to seat six, there is no better way to enjoy the outdoors! Enjoy outdoor dining areas and a private gas grill, creating the perfect ambiance for family barbecues with a backdrop that is to die for!

I would highly recommend this home!! It’s close to everything and yet secluded enough that there was no loud traffic noise, etc.. There were deer everywhere and it was an incredibly peaceful area. We stayed here with two of our adult kids/one spouse as we do in the Black Hills every summer and this was the nicest one we’ve stayed in yet!! Beautiful home!! We will definitely stay here again!!

Nice location

Good location for all the monuments and Deadwood. Property had some details lacking for the price (broken toilet, no drawer or cabinet pulls also burned out light in master closet) but was overall a five star place. Jim who came to fix toilet was very nice and helpful. Would stay there again.

Quiet, beautiful, and relaxing

The house was beautiful and private, quiet and relaxing. Close to local attractions. Ideal family getaway. Only recommendation would be to have clearer instructiins on entry--the code did not work, use of checkmark only mentioned once in early information, and no instructions for locking the door--may not have been working properly. Telephone help was prompt and helpful.
