Summary:
Welcome! Enjoy all the lake has to offer at this newly updated stunning lakefront home. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath (+ outdoor shower) 1400 sq. foot home is located in Buck Creek Cove at the 8 MM. We are in deep water in a small cove off of Buck Creek Cove allowing for perfect swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. It is a short boat ride away to the main channel and popular hotspots! Fire pit at water’s edge, Lilly pad, kayaks and paddle board included! 9.5 ft x 23 ft. Boat slip

The Space:
Home is newly updated with attention to detail. The upper level has 4 bedrooms and one full bath. Each bedroom is equipped with a large mirror, plenty of hooks, large closet and hair dryer. The bunk room has a 42-inch smart TV and 2 sets of 3-tiered bunk beds. Please note the weight limit for the top and middle beds on these bunk beds is 200 pounds per mattress and are meant for kids. The bottom mattress sits directly on the floor.
On the lower level you will find an open concept living room with smart TV, fully stocked kitchen, dining table to seat 8, bar area overlooking the lake seating 3 and a full bath.
Step right out of the lower level onto the patio. The patio table seats 8-10 and outdoor lounge/seating area seats 7. There is a gas grill on the patio, propane is provided. There is a firepit with chairs at the water's edge for your evening smores.

Bathrooms
-Upper-level full bathroom has tub. There is a hair dryer, wall mirror, plenty of hooks and toiletry stand/cart in each bedroom.
-Lower-level full bathroom has a shower.
-Outdoor shower does have access to hot and cold water, so you can take a comfortable shower anytime

-Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, 32-inch Smart TV, ceiling fan
-Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, stand alone fan
-Bedroom #3 has a queen bed, ceiling fan
-Bedroom #4 has 2 sets of 3-tiered bunk beds, weight limit is 400 pounds for the top 2 beds, beds and mattresses in this room are meant for kids. This bedroom has a 42-inch Smart TV, ceiling fan. Pack and play and booster/high chair that attaches to dining chair is on the shelf in closet.

Parking
-there is parking for 4 vehicles, this includes an upper-level driveway with door leading into the upstairs and a lower-level driveway in which you can enter into the kitchen/living area. This is convenient for unloading coolers and food.

Laundry
- there is a detached garage close to the house with a laundry room. The laundry room has a washer and dryer and extra life jackets. There is an outdoor shower on the back of this detached garage.

Location
-We are located on the 8 mile marker in Buck Creek Cove. The cove is quiet and away from the main channel. This house sits on a smaller cove off of Buck Creek Cove making it ideal for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding, while being able to use the larger Buck Creek Cove for skiing or tubing. Great fishing! It is a short boat ride/water taxi ride to popular lake front restaurants and bars: Shady Gators, Toad Cove, Frankie & Louie's, Tap & Grill, Coconuts and many more. By land we are 3 miles from the town of Laurie with a grocery store, restaurants, a movie theater and bowling alley.

About Us
We are a Corey and Julie. We live in the Kansas City area and are both K-State alumni. We have 3 busy teenagers, 2 crazy dogs and a cat. We have always had a passion for houses, renovations and sharing our home with others leading to owning short term rentals. Our other short term rental is on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Our goal is to create a unique stay for you to enjoy, relax and have fun!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole house and private dock. The upper and lower level doors are equip with keyless entries.

The Neighborhood:
Please be respectful of noise levels.

We have 2 driveways which will each hold 2 cars.

The house is amazing and couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The convenience of the boat ramp right next to the house is a major perk. We had issues with our boat trailer this trip so needed to stay at the house later than check out time and Julie was so accommodating. So nice to let us stay until the trailer was fixed. This is our second time renting this home and we'll definitely be back.

Spring Getaway

This was a nicely decorated lake home. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and the window bar seating to watch the wildlife. Saw eagles every day. The dock was great. This was off season, so several neighbors were making improvements and creating some construction noise.

Outdoor area was amazing, great location!

We had such a great time during Memorial Day weekend, thanks Julie! The dock and outdoor area was perfect, great space and it was very peaceful. The location was also really nice, it didn’t feel too crowded but could also get to restaurants and the grocery story easy. The layout of the living room was perfect, our group hung out together all day and we couldn’t have asked for much more. Julie was also very nice and responsive, and even gave us some local restaurant recommendations which we really appreciated. Would absolutely recommend this place!

We loved this house - fit us all perfectly (10 people). We loved the location as well - further out from Osage Beach area but the cove was quiet and calm! Frog mat and other toys were great! Communication with host was fast and seamless. We will absolutely be back.

Fun Lake House

The dock with the lily pad, paddle board, and kayaks were excellent! The dock was a perfect fit for the two jet skis we brought. No lake weeds and very easy to bring in and out into the cove. The house was clean and the property owner was very helpful and quick to respond. Absolutely will be returning next year.

Great place!

We really liked the location of the property and the space was great for our group of 7. Was super clean and host responded VERY quickly when we reached out. The dock was great for hanging out and swimming off of and we loved having access to the kayaks, SUP, and lily pad. While we enjoyed having minimal stairs, the ramp down to the water was a little steep for my dad in his 70s (no railing) and the ladder to get out of the water onto the dock was a bit challenging. Not anything that ruined our time but just something to be mindful of if visiting with older folks or people with mobility issues. We had a great time here and would def recommend!

Lovely, Well Maintained Lake Home

Nice dock and lake toys, pleasant kitchen and porch, comfortable living room, and responsive hosts made for a nice weekend get away. Perhaps it was just the Saturday we were there, but there were rowdy, not family friendly, partiers in the cove making the location undesirable that afternoon. Friday and Sunday were fine. And while the place was well maintained, let’s just say some of the neighboring places are “up and coming,” as in sketchy. However, the place itself deserves 5 stars.

Beautiful house on a fun lake

Needing a place to unwind, get cozy with family, and just enjoy the lake life? Then this is the place for you! Our family of six, two adults, and four teenagers had a wonderfully relaxing time in this beautifully remodeled lake house on a fairly quiet part of the Lake of the Ozarks. The house was a little cozier than what the pictures looked like but that was all part of the relaxing and comforting charm this place oozes. We spent hours sitting on the chairs on the dock watching the lake wildlife and reading books. The kayaks, paddleboard, and lily pad were great amenities for some fun time on the lake and exploring the waterfront. On rainy days we loved the family room and couch and just spending time playing games and watching movies. We cooked all our meals there and had pretty much everything we needed. The house was our destination and it provided everything we needed for days of relaxation and family time. Absolutely would stay here again!

Fantastic Home

Home was perfect for our stay. Very clean and had everything we needed while we were there. We had our fishing boats with us and the dock was very useful. With assistance from a neighbor we were even able to use the ramp right next to the property to put our boats in. Couldn't have found a better place to stay. The outdoor area was superb and made for great evenings sitting around relaxing after a day of fishing. I hate to give a fantastic review because it may become too popular and it may be booked the next time we try to reserve LOL. The only thing that could have been better was the location of the full baths. With all of the bedrooms being upstairs we had to share one full bath up there. The other full bath is downstairs next to the kitchen off the dining room. There were 4 adults there so we managed but it would have been nice to not have to go downstairs for the 2nd full bath. Seriously though it was perfect. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Extended Family Vacation

This house worked perfect for 3 couples and 6 kids. The kids were all in one room but all had their own bunk and each couple had a private room. Everything was very clean and as advertised. There is a boat slip to use that has a lift installed but the lift is t available for use. The only issue with this set up is there are metal parts of the lift that could damage a floating boat. We covered the areas of concern with some foam noodles we brought and it protected the boat great. We left them installed but not sure if the owner will keep them on. Owner was very prompt with communication. The only negative from the whole trip was loading garbage in our cars but this may be unavoidable if there is truly no service available. Overall a great property and would revisit in the future.

Just the place we needed

We ended up booking this place last minute because our original place fell through. I was a little worried because it was a new listing with no reviews at the time we booked, but it was great! Very clean, well equipped, plenty of space inside and out. Perfect cove location. Our kids (7-18 years) had hours of fun with the lily pad, kayaks, paddle board and fishing from the dock. We cooked dinner each night and there was plenty of service for 9 people. Great place!

My family of 5 had a great long weekend at this property. The home, dock and cove are are all very nice and in an excellent location. The home is pristine and has everything you need for a wonderful trip. The home is also very close to boat rental and good restaurants/entertainment both on and off the lake. Will definitely be back!

Why they chose this property

We bought our first lake house on a small lake in Kansas where our kids grew to love the lake, spending quality time with family and friends. We chose to sell that lake house and move it to the Ozarks so we could create a short term rental and share our house with others!
