About the host
Hosted by Janna McJunkin
I live in Canton, NC with my husband, Brandon, and our Bernese Mountain Dog, Little Sister (AKA Sis). I was born and raised on my old family home place, a couple of miles towards the parkway from Pisgah View Place. Although my husband is from Madison County, his family roots are in Upper Hominy as well. My husband and I enjoy fly fishing, floating down the Pigeon River (Canton), and renovating our 101 year old Canton mill house. We have spent our lives in WNC, and are excited about sharing our love for the area with future guests. We enjoy exploring breweries off the beaten path- we would happily point guests towards some under-acknowledged WNC spots. I work full time in the behavioral health crisis field, and my husband works in environmental conservation. Little Sister works on snoozing all day and preserving her energy for chasing squirrels (never successful)!
Why they chose this property
Pisgah View Place was built in the 1930's and lovingly kept by my cousin's family for several generations. My cousin kindly sold Pisgah View Place to me in 2017, as my first home. I was blessed to live in Pisgah View Place with my Bernese Mountain dog, Little Sister, and I cherish the dear years that we spent there. Now we hope to share this sweet little home with others seeking retreat.
What makes this property unique
Pisgah View Place has lovely mountain views with close proximity to the parkway. The small but efficient floor plan has lots of natural light in the kitchen, and is a cozy place to stay.
