Private waterfront beach available at end of lawn and ability to purchase pass to Chilmark's Lucy Vincent Beach or Squibnocket Beach, a short drive by car. Pristine family retreat, definitely one of a kind memorable location for relaxing and water sports in the vast Menemsha Pond and ocean Several family gathering spaces in deep chairs on the brick floored screen porch for cocktails or out on the lawn in chairs overlooking the water, or a day in the hammock or at water's edge for boating or paddle boarding.It's an era gone by with all modern amenities. and updates.What a treasure!
There is a main cottage, and an adjacent bunkhouse and an attached round Silo with sleeping arrangements in each.Smell the ocean, see the stars at night and deeply relax with a swim after breakfast and before dinner.All you need is a bathing suit!

Classic Martha's Vineyard Escape

The house has the perfect MV of old feeling, with all the new age needs. Beautiful view, great separation in the layout for multiple groups, and the best breezeway! The wifi was perfect in the main house for those who had to work. The ease of water accesses was also outstanding for those who wanted to adventure. Perfect little hideaway, hidden away on the classing Chilmark dirt roads.

Absolutely Perfect

We have rented this property twice now. It is truly our favorite place. The property is huge, and the house is so unique. It perfect for privacy for the whole family and to enjoy those those beautiful summer nights. We love the hammocks and the water is perfect for kayaking every day. Our favorite daily adventure is to kayak to lunch or dinner. Thanks so much for sharing your property its truly a gem! -Marieke + Kevin

Sublime!

This is a unique and beautiful place and we loved it! A rustic but beautifully appointed house with great flexibility and a serene and beautiful setting. The linens and basics (eg kitchen equipment, etc) were all outstanding. Guests should know that the house has plenty of windows and two breezeways but no A/C, as it is not needed. Ample fans are provided, but we found we rarely needed them. The place could benefit from a new fridge and some outdoor furniture, but other than that, it’s near perfect. The property manager is lovely and so incredibly helpful and responsive as well. We hope to return!

Great clean house with its own beach and flexible accomodations

We loved our week at the "Silo House." The October weather turned out chilly, but there were effective heaters. The house is very well equipped with comfortable furniture, everything you could want in the kitchen, a screened breezeway, and an annex with four beds and its own bathroom. WiFi and smart TV plus lots of books and games give you lots to do indoors. And of course outdoors, there is Martha's Vineyard. The house's Chilmark location is very close to the fishing village of Menemsha - we had great fresh-caught fish from Larsons more than once. The property is very quiet, and sitting on the beach overlooking Menemsha pond was peaceful and idyllic. Lucinda, the property manager, was so helpful and responsive. We can't say enough good things about this property.
