The property is unique, extremely clean and the hosts were very communicative and helpful. Cabins/tents have everything you'd need to prepare your own meals, and the beds and bathrooms are very nicely appointed and comfortable. Especially loved the visiting hummingbirds!
This place is perfectly named Basecamp Resort. Very nicely built glamping tents set amongst the beautiful Texas Hill Country hills. We stayed here in middle of summer and the tents were still pretty comfortable with the air conditioning and fans. The property is very well kept and we lucked out and had the place to ourselves for most of our stay. We will be back!
This Glamping tent was so cool! It looks like a tent but has AC, Tv, wifi, a small kitchen and a bathroom! This is now the only way I will “camp” haha. We loved that each tent had a grill and hot tub. This place has everything you need for a relaxing weekend and you barely need to leave the resort. We loved how peaceful the area was and that we had access to kayaks and fishing poles on their own small lake. They are adding more tents too so good for groups! We will definitely be back ☺️
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay here. It was not toddler-friendly, but we managed to leave without breaking anything. We loved kayaking on the little lake and enjoyed the short hike. The pool was only slightly heated (during Spring Break) but we got used to the chilly water. The propane grill and hot tub were both awesome. We couldnt get the fire pit to work so we used a lighter to roast marshmallows. Overall I would recommend staying here with kids over 3.

Unique glamping accommodation, very clean, well appointed in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Provides private access to lake and river. Very responsive management. Highly recommend for individual, partners and families.

Basecamp Summer Stay
My son and I made a trip to Hunt to visit friends. We stayed at Lizzie Joy at Basecamp and thoroughly enjoyed it. We fished in the pond and enjoyed the quiet serenity of the tent/cabin. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful getaway!
We absolutely ADORED this place. We stayed in one of the glamping tents, and it had a beautiful view, was incredibly comfortable and had quick access to the lake activities and river. We'll definitely come back!
The accommodations are really amazing. So clean--could use a few more dishes and while I didn't mind the bath tub, I would not recommend for older people as it is a little hard to get into. The campsite is gorgeous- kayaks and paddle boards are provided (but there are only two of each) I highly recommend this place.
