Amazing location, but that's about it....
Positive:
The location is amazing if being close to downtown is your goal. Great spot!
The mattress is very comfy in the bedroom!
Reasonable price for location.
Clean.
Things to note:
Need to update listing to reflect twin bed located IN the living room. Picture of washer and dryer should detail location is in hallway and shared with another unit.
No parking provided. Host’s listing for other unit states this, but this listing does not. Owner verbally cited street parking (2-hour maximum 8am-6pm) and parking lot across the street (overnight parking prohibited). Fortunately, grandparents live close-by and we were able to park there.
No welcome note: where to put trash, Wi-Fi password, checkout instructions for sheets, etc.
Wi-Fi was down so unable to use Roku television.
One smoke detector in entire unit and battery was popped out.
Living room window is not sealed, leaking in cold air and street noise. Also, lack of window covering made for no privacy, unable to block daylight.
Bathroom: No garbage can. Only 1 washcloth. No ability to turn off light over sink, making for one very bright night light. TP and hand towel hooks falling off the wall (despite previous guest mentioning in their review).
Linens: No top sheet on twin bed and linens not provided for futon.
Kitchen: Soiled dish washing supplies. No hand/drying towel. Multiple dishes in cupboards were dirty. Garbage disposal not connected and laying on bottom of cupboard.
In spite of cranking up heat, the temperature never exceeded 66 degrees.
Check-in time was 8 minutes away and still hadn’t received check-in info from host. Called Austen and he sent immediately. Called again to inquire about (lack of) parking and Austen was easy to reach. None of the above were brought to his attention during our visit, so to be fair he didn’t have the opportunity to correct. We were only there for 2 nights and spent very little time in the unit. I appreciate honest reviews when making lodging decisions and hope this helps level set expectations for others.
