Hamlin Lake Fun
The home was very nice with an updated kitchen and baths. The inground pool, hot tub, and kayaks were a great addition to this vacation home with a wonderful location right on beautiful Hamlin Lake. One of the 6 bedrooms is very small . . .more like a large closet. The air conditioning consists of one unit in one window. The downstairs could get pretty hot at times. Brooke was great to work with! She was responsive and on top of any questions and issues that came up. We would love to come back again.

Perfect for Family of 3 generations
We loved our week at Hamlin Lake! The swimming pool sold us when we booked 12 months ago. And we used it every day. Loved having kayaks. Hot tub was a bonus. Enjoyed meals on both lakefront deck and street side patio. Perfect for our family of 11. We definitely would return!

We had some issues with our stay. There was only one TV that we could get to work and the channel selection wasn't very good. The internet was terrible. We had to keep resetting the router. We weren't able to use the pool the first 3 days that we were there because the pool cover was not working. The pool was one of the reasons that we picked this rental. There should be more than one trash container. We filled it up and then had to fill it up again after the trash was picked up. There were several that were able to fish and enjoyed the fishing. It was good to spend time with family.

Plenty of space and a great view
We stayed a week at this property and enjoyed it! Brooke was incredibly kind and responsive. About a 15 min drive into downtown Ludington. Our week was unseasonably cold (in the 50s) and cloudy so we didn’t take full advantage of the pool/lake, but saw many out on Hamlin lake braving the chilly weather for successful fishing. House was clean and very well stocked. Beautiful hikes nearby at Ludington State Park and Manistee National Forest.

Very disappointed
The area was great, but the house itself was terrible. It was very dirty; dust and spiderwebs everywhere along with stains on the sheets, towels, carpets, and covers. We had to go out and buy new sheets, towels, and slippers because everything was old and filthy. They advertise that there is 6 bedrooms but in reality there’s only 4 because 2 of them are the size of walk-in closets with no fresh air. We had to waste a lot of our vacation time cleaning the house and shovelling snow preventing us from parking and accessing the grill. They advertise several amenities such as the fireplace and hot tub but then, after arriving, we received a list of rules stating that we cannot use them. The checkout time in the house rules was earlier than listed on Vrbo. On top of this, the owner tried to blame us for her unkept house.
