About this property

Our home, a renovated 1930’s Maine summer cottage, is located 1 mile from Kennebunk beaches and 1.5 miles from dining and shopping in Kennebunkport’s Dock Square. Close to golf, nature trails and only a 1/2 mile from the Mousam River for fishing and kayaking, it’s a great location to take in all southern coastal Maine has to offer. The cottage provides plenty of outdoor space, so come relax, dine on the back deck and take in the night sky with s'mores by the fire pit.

* Fully stocked kitchen w/ everything to prepare a complete meal, including children's dishes and cutlery.

* 2nd floor primary bedroom w/ queen bed & ensuite full bathroom (tub/shower), TV in room

* 1st floor bedroom w/ queen bed , TV in room

* 1st floor full bathroom (tub/shower)

* 1st floor bedroom w/ twin (daybed) - this room is at the rear of the cottage and has a sliding glass door to access the back deck and yard.

* The living area and each bedroom have independently operated
AC/heating units

* Indoor washer/dryer use

* Spacious backyard, deck with dining table, umbrella & grill

*Fire pit with Adirondack chairs

*Private driveway with space for 4 vehicles

* Once you book a stay, I will provide a Guest Guide which includes suggestions of where to eat and what to do - A hard copy of this guide is also available at the cottage.

* We'll provide beach parking passes which are required from June 15 - Sept 15 to park at Kennebunk beaches.

* The following beach gear will be available - chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels, a beach bag and cooler

* We have a pack-n-play on site w/ an extra (thicker) mattress, mattress protector and sheets.

* There are some board games and puzzles for those days when you can't get outside.

* And, we hope you'll enjoy some coffee or tea on us. There is a coffee/tea drawer in the kitchen w/ Keurig pods, sugar, creamer and a variety of teas.

Best rental experience ever

This cottage was a delight for our family of 5: Grandmother, 2 adult daughters and 2 grandchildren ages 7 & 8. It was so immaculately clean from floor to ceiling. Everything you could possibly need is provided including beach chairs, beach towels, toys and every kitchen need one could dream up. Beautifully decorated and a very responsive host. Also very thoughtful treats along with a helpful book explaining the house and the area. Another big plus were the beach parking passes. We all loved the convenient location to shops and beaches. Would love to return!

My husband and I live in Kennebunkport where we're working on another property, with plans of hosting guests in the future.
I love to hike with my sweet Boston Terrier, travel and spend time at the beach. Most recently I've taken up sailing with the big dream of circumnavigating the globe someday.

Why they chose this property

My husband Peter, who was raised just up the street from the cottage, purchased this property about 17 years ago. Built in1930, as a summer cottage, the two story portion is the original structure. When we met and I moved to Kennebunk, I loved the property and its proximity to the beach so much we lived in the cottage, slowly making improvements for several years. Now, we just want to share the cottage and this area of Maine, which is so beautiful, with others.
