Coastal Chic Cottage with pool

"One Oar Missing" is a, coastal chic designed cottage set within a beautifully landscaped yard in a semi private setting with pool,hot tub, and fire pit. 15 minutes from Topsail Beach and downtown. Cottage is 400 sf and features include queen size bed, a large walk in shower in bathroom, large refrigerator, farmhouse sink, large patio with sitting area with bistro dining table and gas grill . Pool toys and towels provided. We provide fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of wine for your enjoyment. Celebrating a special occasion? We operate a florist and can provide you with fresh flowers, chocolates and champagne for your loved one! The courtyard is shared with one other cottage.

The Porters Neck area of Wilmington (2 miles), features several incredible restaurants including Kornerstone Bistro, Italian Bistro, Si Senor (upscale Mexican), Cape Fear Seafood, Slice of Life Pizza, Tidewater Oyster Bar, K 38 Baia Grill and others. We are located adjacent to Historic Poplar Grove Plantation which features walking trails and ponds. We are five minutes from Hampstead.

Feel free to bring your best friend Fido to meet and play with our Chocolate Lab, Bailey and our frenchie, Woody. Bailey provides gourmet treats for her guests! Don't worry about bringing coffee. We provide an array of condiments such as sugar, creamer, spices, bottled water and toiletries. Your hosts, Jim and Will anxiously await your visit!

it was a super cute cottage! We did have to bring a few things to the hosts attention (burners/ toaster oven not working, and bugs inside) but they were promptly dealt with. Host was amazing with communication. Not what I expected with this cottage being right in someone’s backyard and directly off a major highway, but overall an amazing stay, super peaceful and all the other renters seemed very nice and respectful. If we had a need the host was happy to meet it and very quickly. Would stay here again in the future.

Great little place. We were traveling after a family wedding and picked this sweet place for R&R, perfect choice! We wanted to chill, and play with our pup, exactly what our plan was and we hit the jackpot. Absolutely darling place, the host left us a beautiful white wine, fresh bouquet of flowers and snacks. If you are looking for a little soul vacation, this is it.Anna, Bryan and Tucker too!

Very cute place! The hosts provided a complimentary bottle of wine and late night munchies, which was very sweet. Check in and out was easy, and communication with the host was never an issue. Cleanliness was a little iffy, but not uninhabitable by any means. Great value for the price!

The cottage was exactly as listing described it. It was nice and clean and ready for us to use. The only slight issues were, the bed is quite high and was a little difficult for my not so tall wife, to climb into. There were also no ice cube trays, but we bought some and left them there. We were able to take advantage of the pool after sitting in the hot sun at our grandson's high school graduation. We would definitely stay here again, if in the area. The location is far enough south of the beach towns to make travel easier. NC Rt. 17 can be very congested further north.

Not very clean, you are asked to clean sinks and toilet yourself, pool was very dirty, location is not ideal. For the price, a hotel is best!

We are sorry for the issues you had during your stay. I personally clean the unit after each guest and would like to know what exactly you found that was not clean. In addition, we have never, nor will ever ask a guest to clean the toilet. No where in the check-out instructions, does it say to clean the toilet. We ask that you wash your dishes. Hotels are best for some guests!

Relaxing Getaway

Cottage was welcoming and comfortable. The location was great to find places to eat. The list of places nearby was very helpful. We swam in the pool a few days as the temps were in the 90s. We spent alot of time in the cottage with the air conditioning because of the heat.
