Our stay was absolutely phenomenal. Very quiet, peaceful, relaxing area close to town. The host provided all those small touches that really made the difference.
The property was very comfortable and cozy. I appreciated the proximity to Black Mountain and and Asheville via I 40. The area was super quiet and the bed was soft and cozy.
Beautifully decorated studio apartment. Lovely neighborhood with nearby shops/restaurants and a walking trail by a stream. It was a refreshing and restful place to stay. Immaculately clean.will come again.
Beautiful well appointed studio stay. Linens, decor and ease of communication were spot on (loved the hand soap fragrance in the bathroom)! I would definitely recommend staying here.
This was the most incredible stay! From the communication with David and Pamela to the place itself, everything was perfect! They have thought of every little detail, you have everything you could want for your stay. Wonderful location, close to everything. Opening the french doors each morning to hear the whatever songs the birds were singing was the best start to the day. We’re already planning our trip back to stay again, the peace within this place is priceless!
This sweet studio apartment was a beautiful, serene space, perfect for a quiet getaway. The views of the mountains were gorgeous. The hosts were more than helpful, communicated well, and were very kind. The place was meticulously clean, and also a welcoming and comfy home-base to rest, watch TV, read & write. Nights were cool but I was warm & cozy. And enjoying my coffee in the morning sunshine on the deck was luxe! Thanks so much!
This was a return visit for us. The studio is lovely and immaculate. Hosts are very attentive and live adjacent to the studio. We would book this property again.
This place is a gem! The neighborhood is wonderful, like a magical hideaway. My stay was perfect. The space is quiet, comfortable, and very clean. Stay here, you will not regret it!
This gem in Black Mountain is beautiful, comfortable, and immaculate. The hosts have thought of every detail. The location is extremely quiet and private, yet conveniently located. Lots of natural beauty to explore along with great options for food, shopping, etc. Will return for sure!
We loved staying at this property! David and Pamela were extremely kind and provided a wonderful, comfy, and beautiful stay as well as recommendations for things to do in the area. The neighborhood was very safe and well located to visit Asheville and other surrounding cities. We would definitely stay here again!
Pristine room with great view in an adorable neighborhood. Owners were wonderful!
Great weekend getaway! Only a couple minutes drive to downtown restaurants/breweries and great hikes! Would definitely recommend.

About the host
Hosted by David and Pamela Cowart
Having lived and worked for many years in the scorching lowlands of South Carolina, retirees Pamela (university librarian) and David (literature professor) invite you to savor the air here, where the altimeter reads 2397 ft. and the nearby brook calls to mind Wordsworth's Lucy poems ("And beauty born of murmuring sound / Shall pass into her face").
