The view is serene. The morning sunrises are breathtaking. The hammocks are a nice addition. We didn’t have any body wash/ soap in the bathrooms nor hairdryer. The kitchen isn’t that well stocked if you plan on cooking a meal but there are some basics.
Exactly what we wanted and needed - close proximity to Winchester but out in the country with beautiful horse farm scenery. A family reunion of siblings and our Dad came out one day to join us, it was all lovely!
We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. The property is beautiful, horses in every direction and views that include mountains. We loved the outdoor space and wish we'd had more time to just hang out. Bring a corkscrew (the only thing we needed and didn't have) and plan to spend time taking in the scenery.
The area and property was gorgeous. The house was beautifully placed in the middle of horses 🐎. We all enjoyed it all. Probably could update a few things in the kitchen for supplies.
This was the perfect country style visit right next to the city so it fit my versatile family perfectly to bring in year 2025. Beautiful house! Beautiful view, especially the night sky. Precious horses. Only negative, very extreme, is their repellent killed my pets. I will definitely visit again, but will leave my pets home next time.

Decline
We fell in love with this property years ago when we first discovered it. Unfortunately, it has declined over the years. Decline in maintenance, cleanliness and pest control. I understand it’s in the country and on a horse farm, but I live in the country as well and if you keep up on all three of those things, they’re never a problem.

Peaceful farm retreat
The property was great. The house size was wonderful. The views were spectacular.
Our only issue is the house was clean to the surface only, for example tub and shower needed Comet, and there were a decent amount of dust bunnies everywhere. There was zero toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, and trash bags. So my friends called me to pick up some on way. I thought that came with? We had none. They were stranded with nothing.
We recently stayed at this home for a wedding and the location was great for where the venue was. Our favorite part of this home was the huge porch and watching all the horses. The basement was perfect for all the kids. The property owner was very quick to answer my questions we had while at the home.
Cons for the property: I wish the dishwasher and dryer had been emptied before we got to the home. I would also suggest properly securing the dishwasher to the cabinet. When I opened the very full top rack when we got there, the whole dishwasher leaned forward. There were some bugs in the house too.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning house on a horse farm in Virginia with family, and it was an experience we will never forget! From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the beauty that surrounded us - rolling green hills, fields of wildflowers, and of course, the majestic horses grazing peacefully in the fields.
The house itself was absolutely gorgeous - spacious, clean, and filled with natural light. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the spacious outdoor patio, which provided breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
The location was perfect for us - secluded enough to provide a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, but also conveniently located near charming small towns and local attractions.
Overall, our stay at this beautiful house was nothing short of magical. The combination of natural beauty, luxurious accommodations, and warm hospitality made it a truly unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway in the heart of Virginia's stunning countryside.
The setting is beautiful - and the small house has been refurbished very nicely - modern decor and fixtures. It was peaceful and relaxing for 3 nights. It worked well for the two of us but would have been small for anything other than immediate family. This is due to very small bedrooms and limited seating in the upstairs living room and/or basement area. I'm adding some comments about areas for improvement, but it was a lovely place. On arrival there were spiders on one bed and hall walls, including webs. Found other spiders later.Generally poor mattresses in all rooms but one. It was pushed against the walk making it a challenge for 2 people. Basement - 2 bunk bed sets are definitely child sized. Very thin blankets and we froze night. Took bedding from other rooms day 2. Heat worked but we set it low overnight. Nice fridge but ice frozen solid and we couldn't break it up. Therefore no ice entire stay.Very low water pressure in upstairs bathroom. We showered in the basement which was better. Basement bath light flickers on and off. Looked clean. Upstairs hardwood floors nice. Basement carpet smelled like dogs. Washer and dryer work fine. The dryer had a load of semi-dry linens.Upstairs living room is nicely decorated but low coaches are not that comfortable. Parking was great and entry instruction from VRBO email were clear. No welcome instructions or info found in the house. We did not see or communicate with host.
