One block from the beach! Relax and listen to the breeze in the palm trees on the covered front deck. Listen to the waves from the partially covered back deck with outdoor dining, living area, and lounge chairs and beach view. Open floor plan with living, dining and kitchen flowing together. Three bedrooms (1 down and 2 up) and two bathrooms (1 down and 1 up) with sleeping for 8+. Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped & modern kitchen with side by side refrigerator, wine rack, granite counter tops and island, microwave, dishwasher, smooth top stove, oven, pantry and washer/dryer. On the ground floor you can grill on the Weber charcoal grill, clean fish in the outdoor sink, nap in the hammock, swing in the under house swing, wash sand off in the outdoor shower, and gather the beach chairs, cooler, umbrella and toys to take to the beach. Your beach home has everything you will need for a relaxing vacation getaway!

This was our fifth stay which says it all. Absolutely the best VRBO experience we have ever had and we will keep coming as long as we can!! This house has everything you can even imagine needing and is particularly perfect if you have little ones. This year we literally packed clothes and groceries and knew we wouldn’t need anything else. We love it here!

The accommodations provided for children was excellent. We had a 4 year old with us that really enjoyed the children's room, and provided beach toys. The house was perfect for our visit and will rent again in the future.

Susan was easy to communicate with, everything was clean and beds were comfortable. We really appreciated having the beach chairs and wagon available in the outdoors storage closet. This made it so easy to haul our items to the beach! One of the best things about this place is how well stocked it is. Kitchen has plenty of supplies, and bathrooms have great quality towels (and beach towels too). Our family enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this beach house!

On our fourth visit to this home in Galveston in the Pirates Beach neighborhood, we were delighted to find everything as warm and welcoming as always. Susan is a great host and easy to communicate with. The short walk to the beach makes it a great stay.

Take up the advice to bring bug spray. It’s not the property owners issue, but mosquitos were particularly bad this visit. I’m sure due to recent rains. Don’t let it deter you, just have the spray ready :)

Close to the Beach was everything we needed to make our trip a memorable experience. One of the best stocked homes we have stayed in. Everything was provided and everything plentiful. The location was perfect, being able to sit on the back deck and watch the ocean waves was very relaxing. Our host met our needs and answered our questions quickly and efficiently. We definitely recommend this property if you are planning on a trip to Galveston Island. You won’t be disappointed.

Our stay at this Beach House was everything we wanted for our group of 6…bedroom on main floor for grandparents and daughter and family had the upstairs to themselves. The host communicated effectively and the house was beautiful with attractive and cozy decor. All the things we could need for the beach were there…a beach wagon, sand toys, umbrella, beach towels, beach chairs and a place to hose off our sand. The kitchen was superbly stocked with nice dishes and cooking supplies and appliances. Our time at this house was a delightful. I would highly recommend it for your stay in Galveston.

Great for families

We had an amazing time with our 4 yo and 1 yo. Plenty of toys for the kids, beach is steps away, and deck space is huge! Thank you! Will definitely book again!
