We loved the jungle surrounding us and the sounds of the frogs and chickens. The wrap around porch was fantastic. AC in bedrooms definitely a huge blessing!

We would certainly recommend this stay to anyone. Very clean and owners very thoughtful and responsive. Easy access to main highways. Just needs a few more items in kitchen for avid cooks, but we didn’t want to cook on vacation anyway! We were able to route the wonderful AC from the bedrooms with the fan into living space. This worked very well. Thank you go a lovely stay!

Convenient en El Campo!

We had a great time in this restful casa among the coquis, chickens, and puppy dogs. The place was very clean and the view is beautiful for sitting and just watching the sun set.

Rain Forest Retreat

Easy access to attractions, beaches, food shopping, but set off the main tourist areas so it is quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is provided. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating. Beautiful surroundings. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely Beautiful

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The house is beautiful inside and out and the view is breathtaking! I went back and forth for days on what property to book and I am so glad I chose this one! When we come back we will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful house in the foothills

We stayed busy a couple of days in this beautiful place. The hosts were quick to respond, helpful and so gracious. Would recommend to anyone wanting a neighborhood close to El yunque.

Home away from home

This property is well equipped and the owners are extremely professional and polite. The views were amazing and include suggestions to help you navigate the area. This is one of the best stays I've had and wish that I could've stayed longer. For the best convenience you will want a rental car so that you can drive the coasts or mountains and see everything

Solid place to stay

Clean and close to everything, Casa de Luz is a very functional home with a great view. Ramon was great - very responsive to inquiries. Neighborhood may be a bit rustic for some (i.e. Roosters).

The managers were quick to communicate and very accommodating. The house was clean and above and beyond what I expected. Great location. Being from the islands this was priced super fair and I couldn’t recommend enough!

Close to Bio Bay, El Yunque, Luquillo

This was a great location to see all the places we wanted to go. We city dwellers were amazed at all the country-side sounds at night - frogs, birds, etc. The parking is tight, but the house suited our needs perfectly.

Great stay in the mountains!

This home had clean and spacious rooms and a beautiful view from the wrap around patio. Host was easy and helpful with communication. The home was very easy to find with helpful instructions from the host on how/where to park. Pictures are true to home. We needed a rental home near family for a wedding and this was perfect for a group of family members to stay together.

So many birds!

The house was clean and nice. Very simple and perfect for a family. The view was beautiful and it was so nice to hear so many birds and frogs. The parking was a little difficult but once you got used to it, it was fine. The kitchen was basic but perfect to cook for a family. We loved it- had enough space for kids and a family and the outside space was beautiful too. Easy to get to food and amazing beaches.

Rainforest Night Sounds

The property is situated in the hills along a windy narrow road off the beaten path with many night sounds that make you feel like you are camping. There are beach chairs, umbrella, toys, and cooler to use. We love staying at unique properties and this one had cold air conditioning and the beds we needed.

gorgeous view reaching the ocean but set in the rain forest

We loved our stay. We loved the wrap around porch and the view in the back - over the rain forest all the way to the ocean. I recorded the sounds at different times of the day - the roosters and hens, birds, occasional dog, and just sounds of a neighborhood in the trees. The house seems to be in the midst of getting some upgrades (it had new beds, really smooth and comfie sheets, etc). Highly recommended!!

Let the rainforest put you to bed

Property worked great for the 6 of us. Great location! We loved the wrap around porch! Very noisy being in the rainforest but we loved it. Only thing i would warn is that it is very steep getting from the parking to the house. Not a problem for us but it may be for others.

Perfect Homebase for Exploring El Yunque, North Shore, and More!

Our family stayed here in July 2023. The home was situated with views overlooking a lush landscape of native plants and mango, breadfruit, banana, and other trees. In the far distance you could see the ocean. Looking upslope you are delighted by majestic, cloud-cloaked mountains. The home is very clean, simple, with cheerful colors, comfortable. It’s everything we needed as a homebase and Ramon was very on top of call communications. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Ramon!

Near El Yunque

Appropriate lodging for me, as close to El Yunque trails. House was clean, relatively quiet. Host very responsive. Spent 8 nights there. Parking is off street. Had three short power outages, from 15 minutes to 4 hours (longest). Puerto Rico is known for electric grid issues. House does not have back-up generator. Bring external power source to charge cellphone. Overall, well-priced in my opinion.
