The Girl Scout Cabin was built in the late 1880’s and was used for years in Summerville, SC. The cabin was located to the property in 2003 where an amazing screened in porch was placed on the water side of the structure.

Heavenly Place

Wow, what a beautiful place this is! It is so amazing. Jane, our host, was so awesome! I forgot coffee and creamer and she supplied me with some and made my morning! This little piece of heaven was so tranquil and relaxing. We got to fish, crab, kayak, and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and sun sets! We will be back soon! Thank you Jane!

What a great place to enjoy!

We were looking to find a place to stay as my wife and I were coming in for business for a few days. We were looking for a quiet place to stay on the water and have a place for fishing and this fit the bill perfectly. The property is at the end of the road so no traffic…. NONE! The cabin is rustic and old but cared for and updated. Clean and well appointed. The house supplies were just what we needed for cooking our own meals, all the necessary amenities. The yard and river front was exceptional. Quiet, large enough for comfort and all the water-front supplies you could need including kayaks, dining table, Adirondack chairs, hammock, life vests and fishing poles. We spent ALL DAY on the dock on our down day. Best part-Janie the hostess. She’s a gem and became part of our family. What a neat lady….and what a wonderful place to stay!

Toogoodoo Cabin Stay

Janie was an amazing host! She was very responsive to my messages and gave me lots of tips about local dining and driving times. I only brought Keureg cups so she ground some fresh coffee for me which was delicious. We had a lovely conversation on the dock, which has a gorgeous view of the Toogoodoo River. I feel like I have a new friend!! The cabin was nice and cozy and the queen bed was so comfortable! This was a last minute booking so I was very happy to have found this rental! If you have issues with stairs, this might not be the place for you as the bedroom is upstairs. It was extremely hot outside but the cabin stayed nice and cool! If you don’t like crowds or the hustle and bustle of the beach life, this would be a perfect place to stay!

Unique Edisto

Location on the river was great! Took advantage of their Kayaks and they also had tubes, a canoe, a huge floating platform, and fishing poles available. The cabin had a full kitchen, which we used. Nature and wildlife in a rural setting. It just needed to have a good sweeping, including walls and corners before we arrived.

Peaceful setting and convenient location

I spend the weekend. Yes, I wanted to also drive into Charleston. It was a convenient drive. What I really wanted was to sit on the the dock with a good book and drink of my choice, listen to nature, gaze at the marsh and watch the dolphins. Wish fulfilled!! The cabin was perfect for our needs, and Janie was a very responsive host.

Best Place to Stay in Edisto!

My adult son and I stayed here and had the best time ever. The first day we got dinner from the Mercantile to go so we could watch the sunset from the dock. The next morning I enjoyed coffee on the dock and saw 6 dolphins swim by! The rest of the day we went to see the Serpentarium (a must see!), driftwood beach and went to dinner at Pan e Vino. YUM! We decided to add an extra night so we could just enjoy this place, be lazy, hang out at the dock. My son kayaked for hours. We borrowed the kayaks she had there again and watched the sunset from the river. Janie is an amazingly sweet host! It was all TooGood(oo)!!! We will be back.

Peace on earth

Janie was a doll. I booked this to spend time after our cruise . We were looking at the local information that Janie had and discussed what we were going to do, but after enjoying our coffee the next morning we decided we were just going to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the area. Choruses of bird and dolphins swimming in the river. Doesn’t get any better. Would definitely go back !!

Bliss

Being at this property was amazing. The minimalist get away dream location. It was amazing to see dolphins first thing in the morning and then a few times throughout the day. My wife and I really enjoyed and plan on renting again, hopefully soon.
