Enjoy this 1200 sqft 2 BD/2BA half duplex located on East facing side of 9th Street! All new furniture including beds, bedding, and linens. Clean your catch at the fish cleaning table with running water and a sink! Large bait freezer is in the carport next to the washer and dryer. Fenced in yard is great for pets or small children. New Tiki added for shade or great bbq lunch on the out dining table. Home is just walking distance to 3 restaurants, park, golf course, tennis courts and the Cabana Club included.Cabana Club which is a 15 minute walk from the home that will give you access to a private pool and beach.

We had an amazing month-long stay here in February. The place was perfect for us. It was very comfortable and clean and Key Colony Beach is a great spot in the middle keys. We are not big partiers and it was great place to spend time outside on the canal, paddleboard from the dock, and watch all the wildlife. We saw manatees, green iguanas, fish, and all types of birds right from the backyard. We went to the Cabana Club regularly to hang out at the pool/beach and there are a few cool restaurants within easy walking/short driving distance. It's a duplex and all of the neighbors were quiet and friendly. The backyard is set up so you still have privacy. The last group had 7 people and 3 dogs, but they were only there two nights. That admittedly would not have been ideal for a month. Overall though, it was perfect!

Unfortunately, our stay wasn't the best. We had someone enter the locked unit without notification while we were gone. The 350 cleaning fee and list of check out expectations were disappointing. We basically had to clean the entire unit minus bedding. We had to go buy 50 worth of cleaning supplies on vacation to meet check out expectations. We have stayed at other properties in Key Colony and there are definitely better options for the same expense. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Thank you for your feedback, Aaron. I was very surprised to read your comments, as we were never contacted during your stay about anyone entering the property. We do not authorize entry without communication, and had we been notified, we would have immediately investigated. The only possible explanation would have been a routine vendor visit, but again, we were not made aware of any concern at the time. Regarding checkout, our written instructions only ask guests to leave linens in place, gather used towels, and bag trash per Key Colony Beach regulations. We do not require guests to clean the home, and the cleaning fee covers full professional service after departure. I’m sorry if there was any misunderstanding about expectations. We take guest experience seriously and would have welcomed the opportunity to address any concerns during your stay. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

This stay was mostly amazing. The canal patio area is everything it looks like in the pictures, amazing. The beds were comfy. The second bedroom has full beds, not just twins, so the beds are big and nice. It has all the amenities you need, and even the kitchen knives are sharp when cooking. The laundry was easy, and Erin is just a fantastic host. She is available to help with whatever. Two things bothered me about the stay. First, it was fairly apparent that animals had recently stayed or were common at this place, as there was still animal hair around the apartment, and my allergies kicked up like crazy while there. Second, the whole place was tile, but there weren't any mats, so if the floor got wet at all, it was a major slip hazard. Other than those two things, the place was outstanding. I would definitely stay there again.

Erin, the rental agent, was a pleasure to deal with: immediate responses and very clear instructions.As to the property in general, it was stocked marginally to OK, but the landlord needs to upgrade the mediocre and partly damaged pots and pans. The door to the en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom could not be properly closed - very unpleasant. While the neighborhood offers recycling pick-up, the recycling can was closed with a lock.The property allowed our dog, but was not properly fenced in to the left neighbor, so the dog could disappear.
