What an incredible place! A super cute cabin with all the amenities included; a short walk through the woods to a quiet, private pond, with kayaks and canoes at the ready. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to come back with friends. There is some noise from a nearby road, but we didn’t let it bother us. Highly recommended!

Cabin in the woods
The tiny cabin is cute. The loft bed isn’t for the faint of heart. I needed to help my girlfriend get down in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Limited head space so if you’re big and tall, it might not be the place for you. We would suggest maybe a small, comfy loveseat or a bench seat that’s cushioned to sit comfortably when inside for the night. Overall the fire pit was nice, the walk to the lake was short with canoes available. The lake was filled with water lilies and beautiful. We had the lake all to ourselves!

A must-stay!
Amazing stay, tons to do outdoors on the trails and beautiful views. The cabin has everything you need with beautiful personal touches. We were looking for a quiet place to relax and this property far exceeded our expectations. Brought our dogs as well who has a wonderful time, Sherri even left treats for them. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

About the host

Sherri and Joel are life long Mainers who love to share their piece of this beautiful state with others. They build tiny cozy cabins with all the essentials, treat the earth well and waste nothing.

Joel is a labor relations specialist and Sherri teaches middle school math.

Why they chose this property

With nearly 100 acres, this land provides enough space for exploring and adventure. There are activities: kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing...and many opportunities to simply relax.

The trail from the cabin to the water is marked with reflectors and headlamps are provided for a nighttime walk to the water.

The Pub area is also lit up for night time walking. At the pub, you can light a fire in the chimenea, sit and enjoy a beverage (you'll have to pack your own), play a game of cribbage or connect four or lay in the hammock and enjoy the peacefulness of the Maine woods.

This property is new to us (June, 2022) and is a work in progress. We currently have two cabins (spaced out of site of each other - if you look closely in the winter you can see the lights of the other cabin through the trees). We have completed approx 1.5 miles of trails for you to explore.

What makes this property unique

The tiny cabin experience includes off the grid living in a comfortable setting. Lots of extras that make you feel at home and cozy. The location is wooded, but you can access it in your two wheel drive vehicle and still use your cell phone! This getaway is a relaxing Maine experience that gets you into nature at an affordable rate without having to sleep in a tent!

Sherri and Joel live nearby (approx 15 min away) and can be reached when needed!
