Unwind at this cozy and serene cottage nestled in the scenic Adirondack Mountains. The house was lovingly appointed with stone and wood details and all of the Adirondack charm your heart can desire. This is combined with all modern amenities to allow for a comfortable, yet charming feel. The house is located in the town of Lake George . Shops and restaurants are only a five-minute drive away, yet the area feels peaceful and secluded!

Quiet hours are 10:00 pm - 8:00 am to be respectful of our neighbors. They live here full-time!
Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the house. Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly and not thrown on the property grounds.

Amazing house in the woods

Couldn't have had a better experience!

My whole family said this was the nicest rental they had ever stayed in. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The decor gave us the perfect cozy vibes for a winter vaca. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

A lovely home and a warm caring host

The house was absolutely perfect for our best friends and their dog. It is in a great location to hike and visit the surrounding small towns. Since we became stranded in Florida and our flights to NY were canceled because of a hurricane, Renee checked in on us to see if we were safe. Next time, it’ll be our turn to stay there!

Family trip

We have been going to Lake George as a family since I was a young child in the 1970s. We have stayed at many placed over the years as our beloved spot in Diamond Point is no longer there. This quickly became a favorite for it’s warm and welcoming owners, decor, location and overall inviting nature. It is such a great spot and we look forward to returning for a longer stay in 2025!

AMAZING!

Stayed here for our NYE getaway with a couple friends and this was by far the best rental we've ever stayed at! Host was super sweet and accommodating and went above and beyond. They left us a full smores kit, a bottle of wine, a snack basket

Family Wedding

In town for a family wedding. Six of us stayed at Woodlands Retreat. Very comfortable and convenient. Did not visit any local attractions as we were concentrating on family and wedding activities.

Lacrosse Tournament

Location Location Location!!!! Easy convenient access to Lake George and all attractions. Home was exactly as described and detailed in listing. Hot tub was a huge plus for recovery after our games. Access to yard games, smores kit, firewood everything needed for a great family getaway! Host was very responsive and quick with all communication. Great host and home!!

quick weekend get away

This property is awesome. Great house. Loved the fireplace inside. Used the ifreplace outside. Enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of bath towels. I would highly recommend this property. I would come back again too. Thanks for a great house to get away to with both of my boys.

Wonderful!

My husband and I had such an amazing stay. The house was very clean, well stocked and beautiful! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The house is in a great location. You feel as tho you’re secluded in the woods in a beautiful setting but your just a very short drive from Lake George village and many stores and attractions. The owners make you feel so welcome and leave plenty of information on local restaurants, shops and activities. Renee was very easy to get in touch with and incredibly kind. We truly had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend and can’t wait to stay here again in the future!

Lake George ski trip

House was great! The beds were super comfy! Highly recommend even though we got terrible weather. We were there to ski and it rained the whole time. There's not much to do in Lake George in the winter since a lot of places are closed down that time of year. We went to Lake Placid to ski and Saratoga for shopping/dinner. (Gore was sold out).

We are a family that started going to Lake George about 16 years ago and just fell in love with the area. What went from us hijacking a sibling's family vacation - yep, we did invite ourselves along! - turned into us doing multiple camping trips, long weekend getaways, a few weeklong rentals and ultimately two full-month summer stays to take advantage of our boat being docked on the lake. Needless to say, the house was next! We took the plunge last year and have absolutely loved having the ability to be there at various points around each of the seasons. We've developed wonderful friendships and look forward to sharing our love for this area with the friends we haven't met yet!
