The house was exactly as described. Very clean and organized. No trouble finding items around the house. Hot tub was clean and warm. Checking in and out was super easy. Host gave us good recommendations for local activities and restaurants. Will return if we come back to the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hickory House. It was quiet and secluded, and house was well stocked with everything you could want for a relaxing getaway. I really liked the tea collection and felt that was a unique touch. You are off the beaten path, but within reasonable distance to lots of sight seeing opportunities, quaint shopping towns and local dining. The goal was to get some R&R and that is indeed what we got. Sarah stayed in contact and provided lots of options for nearby adventures. It was a great weekend getaway.
Host provided lots of great suggestions for restaurants, hikes, wineries and more. Plus the house had everything we could need, it was a home away from home. We had a wonderful weekend with our grown children
Host was very attentive when contacted. Host goes above and beyond with extra touches e.g. assortment of teas, cocoa etc. Wonderful library and games available. Perfect home away from home.
Great girls trip weekend with everything we needed to enjoy our stay, got a message the night before check in that there was no longer a fire pit for guest usage which wasn't too big of a deal because we spent our nights in the hot tub! Great place to just unwind and relax!!
A very nice and cozy place that provides everything one could need for a relaxing weekend. We enjoyed the easy check-in process and appreciated the short check-out list. We liked the location of the place and it's close proximity to some great hiking locations. We will definitely visit again.
My entire stay was amazing! Everything from the host to all the great amenities. There were tons of games for the family and I to play. They even had hot coco for us to sip while we piled up in the living room and watched scary movies. Everything was a 10/10!

Very nice home in a beautiful location! Just as described.
Hickory House was an excellent weekend retreat. The house is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The property is wooded and gorgeous. There are many fun outdoor adventures to be had in the nearby area. Highly recommend!
Stayed here with our 3 grandchildren - very clean & spacious home in the woods. Host was very quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. Would highly recommend.
The property and house was even nicer than the listing. Property manager was very informative and had lots of suggestions/recommendations of places and foods to visit. Overall it was a very nice stay for us, the couch and beds were very comfortable and the games they provided were lots of fun! Would recommend for anyone who wants to get away from reality and relax out in the mountains.
We had a great 3 nt stay. The property is secluded and very quiet. Very much attention to details in the home and no issues at all. Very comfortable sleeping, good book selection, and all the amenities and more. A nice farm brewery and winery within a short drive.
We had a lovely time enjoying the (nice and clean!) hot tub overlooking the woods, and the perfect fire pit. The house is set up great with everything we needed to cook basics and stay in place over the holidays to enjoy the quiet. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy more of the hikes and recommendations - everywhere we went that the host recommended was excellent and we had a few gorgeous hikes along trails off the blue ridge.
Hickory Hollow is a wonderful getaway spot, surrounded by beautiful scenery & quiet! Everything that you need is provided in this clean and quiet space. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of blankets for those chilly nights. Host are very easy to get in contact with! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!
A nice quiet and secluded property. Close to Bryce ski resort which is why we were there. Spacious, clean, and useful amenities. We used the grill and fire pit as well. We had one issue and the host was quick to respond and communicate, and Sarah made it right in the end. Will stay here again when visiting Bryce Ski Resort in the future.
This house was perfect for our family of 5 (kids ages 14, 12, 12). The layout was great and comfortable. The house was well stocked with supplies you may need. I was super impressed by this! It was probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed at in regards to the supplies and amenities they provided. It made it so easy for our family. The hot tube was a nice treat to enjoy at night while stargazing. Towels for the hot tube were even provided! The kids enjoyed playing the games provided. The owner was very responsive and helpful We requested a late checkout and they were able to accommodate us. We were very thankful for that. If we are back in the area again we would definitely stay here again.
The location was so perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed the trees and the expansive yard. We really appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. Our only regret was only staying 5 nights!
The house has a gravel road which wasn't a problem in the summer. We loved all the children's books and toys to entertain our little one while traveling. The location is great for adventuring to many of the regions attractions, including a stop into West Virginia. Since it is remote, you do have to plan ahead and be prepared to drive to pick up groceries/gas/eat out.
We did not use the hot tub or the fire pit (a bit sensitive to forest fires coming from California) as there was plenty to do and enjoy around the home and in the area.. We did appreciate that there were spices and some basics items in the kitchen.
Awesome cabin in the woods! The place was stocked with everything we could have needed. Clean and a nice quiet area for a relaxing long weekend for us and close to multiple excellent wineries and breweries if you want to get out and explore. Host was responsive and check in and check out process was super smooth and easy.
