We had a Great Time at the Cabin , Great Location to Garden of the Gods and Cave in the Rock.I only wish we knew that there was NO Food around anywhere to eat , but besides that was Great , will will remember when we go back and we will. Thanks
Great space-and excellent value. It's was a bit of head knocker the first day going up in the loft but you adjust quickly! The cabin is efficient & charming and close by some great hiking spots.
Very central to hiking in the Shawnee Forest. Only negative in our eyes was that there was no effort to enhance the exterior of the cabin. A little effort with landscaping could go a long way.
The Cottonwood Cabin was adorable. We had an amazing, relaxing time. So many beautiful trails and beautiful places to visit for nature enthusiast. Highly recommend!
We had a great time in this cabin. It was clean and inviting. We made friends with one of the cats, Oreo. We were hiking so didn't spend much time outside the cabin, but there were some activities that you could enjoy outside. You may get woken up by the sound of a rooster or other critters which was not a problem for us.

Thank you so much! I'm sure Oreo loved meeting you. So happy you enjoyed your stay.
This place was so cute!!!! We wanted a quiet getaway and this place delivered. From the rustic feel with modern amenities to the starry nights by the fire 10/10. The property cats, Oreo and Stripes, were the sweetest fur babies. They definitely love their treats (yes I was suckered into getting a little bag of treats). The pond was a nice little fishing hole for catch and release. We spend all day one of the days hiking and visiting historical sites (Garden of the Gods, Cave-in-rock, Rim Rock, Iron furnace historical site, Herod Cave historical site, pounds Hollow). Must try place is The Fishing Dock, the catfish was super good and so was the bacon cheeseburger. It’s right on the Ohio River. Now the staff was absolutely amazing and sweet!! Check in was a breeze!! Make sure you plan gas appropriately as gas stations are sparse. We plan on definitely coming back in the future.

Such a cute little rustic cabin! My husband and I had the most relaxing, peaceful stay. The place was so clean and comfortable. We had everything thing we needed. The steps going up to the loft are something to consider, but the couch-bed is also pretty comfortable. The location is convenient as well. Cose to Garden of the Gods and other points of interest. Very much recommended for a nice break from the everyday.
We were looking for a cozy place to escape to for some good old fashioned relaxation and some serious hiking! We found just the place! We loved it! We will recommend it to all of our family and friends!

We had a great time! The place is very relaxing and really enjoyed the cabin and the amenities on the grounds. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the national forest. Definitely will be coming back here!
The cabin was perfectly located for some great day hikes. We missed directions about checking in at the Garden of the Gods outpost so remember that detail. The cabin was clean and comfortable.
Very nice cabin near everything we wanted to see in the Shawnee National Forest. The fire ring was great to have. All of us from 8 to 84 enjoyed. A great place to relax after hiking.

So Happy to hear your family enjoyed the cabin Kathleen. Thank you for staying with us and we hope you'll all return soon.
Loved the cabin. Clean. Loved being in walking distance to a farm pond, and activities in the pavilion area. Wasn’t far away from our hiking locations. I like that it is pet-friendly if we choose. Had everything we needed including dry wood for firepit. We had special guests (cats in the area) hung with us on the porch and around the fire. Overall great location. Great experience!
