We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manatee Cove. Spent several days kayaking the river and had a great time. Everything we needed was included and the host was extremely helpful upon checkin. We would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect spot for our little family get away. We were able to disconnect from our busy lives and refocus. The house was in a great location on the main river. Short paddle up river to beautiful, peaceful Florida scenery. We saw many manatees and even a dolphin. We utilized the grill and the fire pit/smore sticks multiple nights. The home had everything we needed from towels to kitchen utensils. There was also a good selection of kayaks and life vests for use. However the kids enjoyed just swimming directly down the stairs off the dock in the backyard also. The porch was great, a few naps were taken there. We also found an amazing restaurant called the Lazy Lizard, highly recommend if you’re in town. Greatful we found this home and for the opportunity to enjoy a few days of pure Florida serenity. We hope to return again!

Apartment was spotless and adorable! Beautiful spot for accessing the springs with provided kayaks. Screened in porch offered spectacular views. Only 2 minor issues we had grounds could use a little tlc and communication with owner a little slow {but it was later in the evening}. But would highly recommend and plan to return. Thankyou

Wonderful getaway!

My husband, myself, and our child spent 5 nights at Manatee Cove and had the MOST relaxing time ever! The property was clean, quiet, and all around amazing. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Fantastic place on the River

We loved our stay. Everything was perfect. Great paddleboarding during the day and a campfire at night. So relaxing! We cant wait to return.

Paradise at your back door!

Clean, comfortable, safe property. Wonderful outdoor seating area and kayaks available for use on the river. Well stocked with clean linens, dishes, etc. Easy check-in and out. Looking forward to a return trip.

Perfect location

We had an amazing time staying on the river. The condo was the perfect size for our family of three and getting up and paddling out first thing in the morning before anyone else was priceless. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend getaway. I look forward to booking the property again.

We loved it. Would love to go back. Actually had dolphins swim by in the river. Only issues was no spare toliet paper and bathroom door needs replained (hard to close.) That being said, we love Manatee Cove.

Amazing location on the main river

We paddled every day! This is a lovely location-- upstairs apartment with great screened in deck, access to kayaks and easy to get right on the river.

The water is not as pictured. I rented this place for a week solely to float in the clear water right outside. What I found was murky water with a mushy bottom. Inside is cozy and clean as pictured. The balcony was the best part. Host was very responsive. I left two nights early and ate the cost to go somewhere else. I gave the host a chance to refund and they didn’t because they couldn’t rent it to someone else. Host said it the murky water was due to rain but there’s a drought. I don’t believe the host did everything possible give an accurate description of the current state of the water and didn’t compensate for a misleading description. Had I known I would have gone elsewhere. It was an expensive lesson to learn.

Hi Leah, You arrived on May 8th. We didn’t hear anything from you regarding your stay, so we figured all was well. The area had really bad weather and had a huge rain storm on May 12th, which does make the water very murky. You messaged us at midnight on the 12th saying the water wasn’t as described - this is after you’ve been at the unit for 5 days. On the 13th you sent pictures of the river and asked to leave early on your 1 week stay. This would be one thing if you had these concerns right when you checked in, not 5 days in, after you’ve enjoyed the good weather and beautiful river before the rain stirred it up. Our reviews speak for themselves. When kayakers pass our unit on the river, they all get out in front of our unit to swim, because it’s the best. I think we were fair in offering a refund if the dates got rebooked. After all, we heard nothing from you until 5 days into your stay. Our check in instructions state to reach out with any concerns upon checkin, not 5 days into your trip when you then say you’re unhappy.
