My wife and I booked this house the night before and the night of our wedding. Her bridal party stayed the night before and got ready there the day of. She said it was “exactly what they needed” to get ready. The house is beautiful and has a lot of character. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice property

This was a great experience for our family coming in from out of town. A large house with plenty of bedrooms for large family and friends. Beds were comfortable and lots of rooms to hang out in. Very interesting old house with lots of history.

Gettysburg Area

The house was even more than we were hoping for. Large enough for everyone to have space and still be together. It was quiet and a good place to relax after sightseeing in

Great place for a group getaway

This historic property is a wonderful place for a group getaway. Very clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms are almost brand new. Kitchen is well equipped and gathering spaces are abundant. Host was super responsive and provided us the perfect place for a mini college reunion. Can't wait to go back again.

Great place for renewing family time

The home was welcoming for our family to gather. Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, large living room, dining room and game room. We would have liked one more tv in the game room or one of the 6 bedrooms for the kids while we sat and visited on the patio or living room. Owner was very accommodating and appreciated his knowledge and pride of the area.

Stepping back in time

We enjoyed this unique property which added wonderful memories to a large family gathering in Westminster. I only wish that we would have been at the house more over our rental period. The property delivered on its promises. Marty

A perfect pride and prejudice weekend

My friends and I threw a pride and prejudice themed party for our friends who are about to be married, and this house was the perfect setting! It is beautiful, massive, and has incredible grounds. The bar/game room was a particular highlight. There was plenty of space for 12 of us to sleep comfortably and a good kitchen to cook all of our meals for the weekend pretty easily. The house and furniture were a little old and rickety, but that is to be expected for this type of property and overall added to the vibes for the weekend. Mike was a very generous and responsive host who even ordered extra glasses and silverware when we weren't sure there would be enough table settings for everyone. Would definitely stay there again!

Great family place

We needed a place for our grown kids, their spouses and 2 grandkids, about halfway between a wedding venue and the babysitter. This was perfect! The host Mike met us in and showed us around… so many cool features to the house and furnishings! A square grand, Civil War relics found in the grounds and really awesomely equipped kitchen! The best part was how comfortable he made us feel! There were chicken on the property that we were all big fans of! Especially the babies! The house has plenty of space for gathering, wi-do worked well and we found the Bluetooth speaker much appreciated!

Beautiful Historical House!

This is the most unique country historical house ever! We love history and have always loved touring old estates, but never had the opportunity to stay in one. I was excited to see this one pop up when i searched for a rental in the area. We were in awe when we walked in. From the beautiful bar to the antique kitchen, with all the modern comforts, the elegant dining room, the lovely bedrooms, and the 3 bathrooms, its like taking a step back in time! We walked the grounds and Mike gave us a tour and a brief history lesson on the property. We couldn't ask for a better host, Mike is amazing! Everything you need is here, fresh towels, linens, etc. We were very comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Mike for a wonderful weekend getaway!

Staying at 1800 Trevanion Rd was an unexpectedly enjoyable experience. There were six of us, and the house offered plenty of space to spread out or come together, with lots of bedrooms in various configurations to choose from. Exploring the home and the property was an activity in itself—this isn’t your typical VRBO stay, and that’s exactly what made it special. The house is old, with creaky floors and dated furniture, but it was clean, quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the charm and character of the place.Mike, the host, was an absolute pleasure—truly one of the friendliest and most accommodating we’ve come across. He responded immediately to anything we needed, even going out to get us bottled water when he learned we forgot it at the store. He gave us a fun tour of the property, built us a fire, shared fresh chicken eggs, and introduced us to the cows and chickens (which were a hoot!). The bathrooms are modern, and parking was no issue. All in all, it was a unique, relaxing, and memorable stay. Well done, Mike—we’d definitely stay again!

Our extended family found Trevanion a great place for our annual rendezvous in the Gettysburg area. We are a large group (12) with wide age range (8-75), and there was plenty of space for all. Large dining room was a perfect setting for our group meals and evening game nights. The house is huge, plenty of room for all to spread out. The "Pub Room" is great fun, a definite plus for a group gathering. A big bonus was the non-advertised farm animals (chickens and several cows, including a 6-month old calf!). Owner Mike Campbell invited us to help feed the animals and shared lots of interesting info about the house and property. A very engaging and responsive host.

Historic Mansion

We enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and comfortable. Couple minor suggestions, I would recommend a couple pieces of cook wear ie Pyrex bake wear be added, revamp of outside seating, labeling light switches. No complaints.

Wonderful Family Reunion

We had lived in Maryland about 30 years ago and were going back to celebrate mom's 90th birthday. The 19th Century Mansion/Farm House, was a great place for people to spread apart and at the same time visit and enjoy one another. Lots of history to explore in the areas as well.Mike was an AWESOME host! His kindness and willingness to help and provide was great! What a kind gentleman! We really had a GREAT time!

An incredibly unique experience

This property is not your every-day historic brick farm house. And there's not enough room here to describe all the facets that made this such a special and unique stay. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed coffee outside. The house is very large and the owner has maintained the historic charm while modernizing the bathrooms, game room and kitchen. There is EVERY appliance you could ever dream of using in the kitchen as well as tons of serving ware and pots & pans. The beds were very comfortable, there were loads of towels for our party of 11, and endless hot water. The host was gracious and communicated well and answered questions timely. Our family made so many memories during this stay.

Great place for Family get together

Family reunion & birthday get together. We were 11 people slept very comfortably, it is a huge Victorian house so be prepared for some drafty spots in the winter. Other than taking a bit to get warmed up we had a great time well appointed kitchen. Well supplied with towels for the crew we were. Really had a great time!

Beautiful comfortable space

There was plenty of room for our entire group of 9 to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the space was good for conversations and dining. We came during a cold snap, and the house was hard to heat, but we worked with the host to make things more comfortable. Also, it warmed up from record cold of 11 degrees Fahrenheit to 30, which made a difference.

My son was getting married at a venue that was close by. I had family coming from Massachusetts and Canada but I wanted us to be together. It was a beautiful home. Very clean, tons of character! The beds were comfortable. The host was a great communicator and very much available during our stay. My mother absolutely loved the house!
