THE CHESHIRE ESTATE - HISTORIC DOWNTOWN LANCASTER

Experience Lancaster's Historic District at the 'Cheshire Estate!' Built in 1794 and steeped in a rich history, this 3-story, city-center gem is just steps from everything downtown has to offer. Remodeled in 2022, the interior is warm and cozy, while the outdoor space provides room to roam along serene private trails and expansive outdoor gardens. With five attached parking spots, the home is the perfect space for intimate gatherings, weddings or small corporate events.
We are available through the Airbnb app or phone and have a service team in the neighborhood should you need assistance during your stay.
We love the Lancaster way of life and smaller neighborhood communities that make up the city. The city holds an important role in the birthplace of America. Downtown Lancaster is experienceing a renaissance and is once again at a crossroads - The American love story between community and those who reside here is still being written, and we invite you to be a part of it through the lens of our home on Chestnut Street.
The Cheshire Estate has a walk-score of 98, so for those who love an adventure walk - Lancaster is a foot warriors dream! In addition, Lancaster has a network of bike paths with mindful motorists and clearly marked bike lanes throughout the city. The city is inter-connected by rivers, parks, and side alleyways that are sure to leave a lasting impression. For those looking to travel by car, you’ll appreciate the lack of traffic often found in larger metropolitan cities. If you take a car, be mindful of our local horse carriages and buggies often found traveling throughout our community and back-country roads.
The home is 420/smoker friendly, but in outside areas only, at least ten feet away from windows and doors.
