About this property

This home is located in a quiet, shady neighborhood conveniently located right of Demere Road between East Beach Causeway and the Village. It offers all the amenities and comforts of your own home. FLETC and MONTHLY RATES are available.

The corner lot with concrete parking for three cars has a side entry garage and a shady front porch. The privacy-fenced back yard with dining patio for six features a gas grill. The master suite is furnished with king bed, chaise, 42' flat screen, and large tiled shower.

Two bedrooms upstairs each have new queen beds, a full bath with tub/shower, and a sink vanity that is separate from the full bath. A fourth bedroom on the ground floor has flat screen television, computer hutch, and full/twin bunk bed which converts to seating for extra den or playroom.

The kitchen is well-equipped, seats up to ten at the table with two counter seats, and easy access to the outdoor patio dining for six. The oversized garage houses several beach chairs, coolers, umbrella, and other beach items available for guest use.

St. Simons Island is a beautiful marsh and beach destination that is rich in history. Historic sites, village shopping, the SSI lighthouse, fishing from the Pier, and dozens of restaurants are all within a short distance, a 5 minute drive or a 15 minutes walk.

SSI and the Golden Isles offer several beautiful public and private golf courses, ocean and inter-coastal activities. Nearby Jekyll Island is known for its the historic district and the Jekyll Island Club with its restaurants and numerous activities to include golf, beaches, waterpark, horseback riding, and the Georgia Sea Turtle Hospital & Museum.

The home is perfect for families, couples, and weekend getaways with friends in groups of nine or less.

Thanksgiving wedding

Great experience! We had a fanilt wedding on jekyll island the saturday after Thanksgiving. The hiuse was exactly what we needed and hoped for. Easy getting in and out. Close enough to everything we needed and from downtown St. Simons. We will be rretuenkng to explore more. Will absolutely look back to this house for our rime frame. Thank you to the hosts/owners for a great accommodation

Perfect House to Cheer on the Dawgs

I came to St. Simons with a group of UGA Seniors for our last GA/FL weekend and Eileen’s house was the perfect spot for us. We loved how calm the neighborhood was as it was a perfect break from the craziness of the weekend. The house was lovely and a perfect size for nine people. None of the beds listed were sofa beds, and there was a perfect amount of bathroom space for the large group size. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of linens and towels, and I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Eileen’s house.

Perfect location for a friends weekend!

This house is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood and is comfortably furnished. It is near the airport, but we hardly noticed any noise, so don't let that deter you. The location is perfect for getting around or off the island. The home was clean and comfortable with a large dining table for game nights and a comfortable living area for sitting and talking or watching TV. Would absolutely stay here again.

We live clear across the state on the Georgia - Alabama state line in Columbus, Georgia which is known for its proximity to Ft. Moore (formerly Ft. Benning) and its views of the beautiful Chattahoochee River. We are retired and enjoy life as golf and tennis enthusiasts as well spending time on the river with our three Mini Whoodles - Brogen (named for Brogen's on SSI), Timmy and Abby.

Why they chose this property

We enjoy the quaint, non-commercial feel of St. Simons Island vs. Destin, Florida which is just three hours from Columbus' and is the more practical beach destination for Columbus residents. The quiet and shady streets in our secluded Sandcastle Subdivision on SSI are great for walking in zero traffic and we enjoy the convenience to East Beach and the Village.

SSI is rich in history with beautiful beaches and a bustling village area, and is within convenient driving distance to Fernandina, Amelia Island, Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine, Savannah, and the other Golden Isles of St. Mary's, Cumberland, Sea Island, and Jekyll.

What makes this property unique

The highlight of the house is truly the lack of traffic and the friendly year-round neighbors. The neighborhood features a convenient little walking/biking trail which connects Sandcastle to Ashantilly Street, providing a "shortcut" to the Village and Pier. We often spend evenings enjoying the privacy of the patio.
