Time to unwind

The advertised property looked amazing. The reality is even better. We had the most relaxing and serene time at this property. It provided everything we can possible need for a comfortable stay. we would certainly return when we need to reboot. We loved it.

The Cottage would be lovely for "overflow" from the main Osprey House, but isn't really equipped as a multi-day "stand-alone" rental, unless to plan to dine out for every meal. (No forks, no dishwashing linens, no way to light the outdoor grill, one very small trash can... Minor things if your main party is staying in the Osprey House.)

The cottage

The cottage was a converted garage. A hotel room would be bigger. There was no internet or TV. Overall it sucked.

We are sorry you were unhappy with your experience. The listing DOES specify this is a STUDIO unit. It is usually booked in tandem with the main house but many couples enjoy the STUDIO accommodations when they are out the majority of the day enjoying our local sites. There is TV and Internet provided. We are sorry you did not contact us if you were having issues to allow us to correct the problem. Thank you for your feedback.

We wanted a quick getaway for a few days - just someplace clean with a fish camp feel and off the beaten path for the two of us and our dog. Our requirements did not include lush amenities or crowds. At the cottage, we got exactly that. Our host was immediately responsive and helpful before, during and after our stay. The cottage was clean, decorated comfortably and provided the basics for our stay and all that we needed. The river was easily accessible behind the cottage and parking was extremely convenient. In spite of the July heat outside, the room was always cool and welcoming. A spin around the nearby town of Sopchoppy was fun, with a coffee shop / bakery, boutiques and a brewery. I definitely recommend this property for a visit to this part of Florida. Thirty minutes from beaches, fresh seafood and the expected summer crowds, we hope to visit again one day.
