Relax and enjoy nature in this lakeside retreat! Only 75 minutes from Manhattan, with Metro North access nearby.

Wake up to the sunrise over the lake with stunning views from the master bedroom; enjoy the private lake or one of many nearby hiking & biking trails; cook in the fully equipped kitchen or outdoor grill; and wind down with a bath in the jetted tub and a fire in the indoor wood stove or outdoor fire pit.

Everything you need for a weekend getaway or week by the lake!

An updated A-frame lakeside chalet, our home has everything you need for summer lakeside fun, fall Upstate foliage viewing, or a cozy winter getaway.

Access. Entire home, deck, driveway, yard, and shared access to the lake (3 small beach / dock areas). Please note that our home is not directly on the beach, but a short walk away from the lake.

Access to the private lake and small beach area is available via a slightly steep path directly across from the house. There are also two other access points a 5 and 10 minute walk (or short drive) down the road (both have less steep pathways to the lake).

We provide some swimming equipment such as rafts and floatation devices. Kayaks will be available between April -November.

Local attractions include the nearby Appalachian Trail, Empire State Trail, and other hiking and biking paths. Check out Fishkill Farms or Barton Orchards for farm-based fun, live music, and food. Pawling Village is a short drive away, or take a trip to visit Hudson Valley gems like Beacon or the Culinary Institute of America.

Thunder Ridge ski resort is only 15 min away. There is a ringbell camera at the basement entrance door for safety. Photo ID is required for booking.

Spacious Mountain home with Lake Views

We enjoyed our two nights at Lakeview Chalet. The home is spacious enough to accommodate our group of 7 adults. The furnishing and decorations are very cozy and comfy. The lake view and quiet neighborhood are very relaxing. We especially loved the fire pit in the evening. Everyone said the beds are very comfy and the water temperature and pressure in the showers are excellent -- (probably our most appreciated amenities). Absolutely no complainants and will rent again if ever in the area.

The host was very helpful and communicated well. Very spacious, beautiful views from the balcony and master bedroom.Overall, in our honest opinion, the cabin itself was just ok. The beds were a bit too firm but very clean and we rested well, it’s an older home so everything creeks and you could hear everything even very low conversations. There are some things in the house that need attention, the blinds for the master was broken so while we were changing the blinds were opened, maybe not a big deal for others but we didn’t like that. The second floor bathroom has a window in the shower that was wide open when we got there and we couldn’t lock.
