If you love baseball — particularly if you love the Chicago Cubs — there's only one neighborhood for you: Wrigleyville! Bordering Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago directly above Lakeview/Lincoln Park, Wrigleyville/Lakeview houses one of Chicago’s most popular destinations: Wrigley Field. Originally built in 1914 for Federal League’s Chicago Whales, Wrigley Field is one the oldest still-operating stadiums in the MLB. It was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926 by then-owner William Wrigley Jr., a chewing gum manufacturer.
Of course, there's more to the neighborhood than baseball. From the luxury high-rise apartments along Lake Shore Drive to the tree-filled streets and single-family homes in Graceland West, there's something for everyone from theaters, such as the Music Box Theater and the Playground Theater, as well as music venues, rows of restaurants and shops.
This is a great location if you are attending a Cubs game, attending a concert, going on a walk to the lake, or visiting all the local bars and restaurants in Wrigleyville! Downtown Chicago is a short train ride away and the Red Line Sheridan Station is a 5 min walk from the home!
In order for us to maintain the home, we have a couple of rules
-No parties
-Only registered guests can stay over in the house
-Lock up when you leave
-Have fun:)
THINGS TO NOTE**
~ You will have to climb one flight of stairs for all bedrooms.
~ Our home is convenient to the "L" train - the tracks are elevated behind the home. Most find this charming to see the train, if you are sensitive to noise the Main Bedroom will be best to sleep in at the front of the house. There are two sound machines in the house.
~There are two parking spaces available behind the house on the parking pad. Photos and directions will be available in the app with your arrival instructions 48 hrs prior to arrival.
~Parking on Wilton is free during the day, permit is needed in the evenings (guests must check signs) if you want to park on the street you will need a permit, pay attention to the time restrictions.
