The house was very well kept and the view was amazing. My dog had the time of her life swimming and playing in the surrounding woods. We had a lovely time and will recommend Bernadette and Jim’s place to everyone who wants to unwind and enjoying privacy and quiet.

We had such a lovely, relaxing time at this cottage. It really is such a peaceful and quiet location. The house was clean and very cozy, with all the amenities you could ask for. The view is stellar and we loved listening to the loon calls at night. The hosts are especially kind and responaive. We will definitely be coming back next year and hope to use the kayaks and boats then too!

What a beautiful view and so quiet!! The loons were talking and that was the loudest thing lol My husband is a birder so he loved it!!! We’ll definitely try to find availability for next summer here since it is 20 minutes from our two adorable grandsons, daughter & son in law! Our 2 1/2 year old grandson LOVED kayaking with me!!

The home was beautifully renovated and had everything we needed.We enjoyed our stay. As a matter of preference: the master bedroom mattress was extremely soft, and difficult for my husband with a bad back to sleep in. Also, the bathroom towels were very linty, and did not absorb. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay. Thank you!

Great property and hosts

Charming, cozy, and clean cottage perched on the shores of Smith Pond. Excellent accommodations in a stunningly beautiful and peaceful location. The Allens were kind enough to allow us to invite our family of 8 adults and 2 children and 1 dog to share the day with us at the cottage. We had a terrific, fun family day enjoying this wonderful property!
