I’ve never felt comfortable returning to the Cathlamet/Skamakawa area, as I had a rather horrible experience there in my youth. My dislike for the place never had anything to do with the natural beauty of the area however. I was fortunate that I chose to stay at the Loft, as it encompassed everything that I remembered about the area that was actually beautiful. The house was lovely, the beach, the river, everything was perfect. If I am to return, I would be happy to stay at the Loft again! Thank you!

Cousins campout

Family members camped in nearby state park. We joined them for gatherings. Our house rental location was near by. The house was well equipped and very clean. We met the owner who was ver kind.

Nice cabin, well equipped in good location. My mother in law would have liked a grab bar in the bathroom as the toilet was a little low for her. And the oven was limited to a small toaster oven but all workable

A peaceful getaway

We had a lovely, quiet time at the River Loft Cabin. The upstairs had a fun typewriter with paper and lots of boardgames for a night in. The drive in was a little windy and on small roads, so I'd recommend making sure to head that way during the day and bring food with you since the town is so small and finding a bite might be hard. Truly a nature experience!

Wonderful property!!

It was late when we arrived, so it was dark. The cabin is incredibly cute and comfortable. The smallest detail had been thought of. Kids loved the area in the loft! The next morning, we woke up to beautiful sunshine with direct access to the river. So peaceful and relaxing.

The cabin is stocked for up to six people. This guest invited an entire wedding party and a pet to come to the cabin for meals which they prepared in the kitchenette and outdoors.

Riverside gem

This lovely, quiet cabin by the Columbia was everything we'd hoped for: A river beach right out the door, nature walks through the woods just down the street, and the funky little grocery store (Yay, Bigfoot!) had the essentials we'd forgotton. I loved curling up with a cup of coffee on the back porch watching the fog burn off the river in the morning. We'll be back!
