We had a wonderful stay! The house was in a perfect location and had everything our family needed. It gave us a special place to be together and make memories while celebrating our daughter’s wedding. We’re so grateful we found it and would happily recommend it to others.
Quiet property with plenty of room for guests and to roam around outside. Short drive to town for restaurants and touring but also close to less-visited beaches and parks that are just as beautiful.

Michael, thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the quiet setting and the easy access to both town and the nearby beaches and parks. You and your group were excellent guests—everything was left spotless, and you followed all the house rules with care. We truly appreciate that.
You’re welcome back anytime. It was a pleasure hosting you.
The host was very communicative. Overall the place is comfortable and has a nice deck in the back to sit out on. The front yard is still being worked on a bit as well as the back. There are certain areas of the home that are off limits which are marked clearly. We had a comfortable stay and the location is great with it being close to Charlevoix and Torch Lake. The half bath is shared as the laundry room which I think is important to note.

Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your experience. I’m glad you enjoyed the comfort of the home, the forest setting, and the back deck — it’s such a peaceful spot.
Just to clarify for future guests: the half bath you mentioned is actually a brand‑new addition this year. We added a full wall, a new toilet, and a new sink to create a proper half bathroom, and at the same time replaced the washer and dryer with high‑tech, modern units. The space is designed to be practical and convenient, especially for longer stays.
Since our home sits right in the forest, the natural landscape around the front and back is intentional. All trails are fully accessible, and the only recent outdoor update was paving the road for easier access.
I truly appreciate your feedback and the care you took during your stay. You’re always welcome back.
The deck was our favorite part. Overlooked a wooded area with a grill, nice and quiet. House was in great shape and kitchen was fully furnished. As Michigan doesn’t get many hot days, there was only a single ac unit in the great room and we happened to be there during a heat wave. All the rooms had fans if you left the bedrooms cracked open, it worked fine.
Our family had a wonderful week staying at this beautiful, quiet house. The atmosphere of the property was truly peaceful. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck every morning and unwinding after a busy, fun filled day by sitting on the deck and enjoying the wildlife.

Disliked: Location
The house was set in a peaceful environment which helped with getting away from the stress of work. Although, this feature was enjoyable it did have an unpleasant odor throughout the house. Another disappointing feature were the outdoor pillows, they were very dirty and stained. Please consider replacing them, we chose not to use them.
My best friend and I were in town for the starfall ball and we had a blast. It was so nice to have a large bathroom to get ready in and have a home away from home to come back to’
Irene was an incredible host and very responsive to inquiry before booking and during. This cabin is very large! The kitchen and dining area is wonderful. The large deck spans the entire length of the house. We would definitely stay again!

The house is lovely - very clean and nicely updated! A deck runs the width of the house and provides a beautiful view of the woods. The kitchen is spacious and nicely equipped. A quiet Lake Michigan beach is a five minute drive away. We stayed 3 nights and hope to stay again in the future.

Thank you for choosing to stay at our property and looking forward hosting you again.
We had a great time. The property was as advertised. I had one minor question about the location of the outdoor trash bin and I received an immediate response.
For what you get the price was very reasonable. Hard to beat the value.

Hi Dominick, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay at our house and had a great time in the area. We appreciate the kind words and look forward to hosting you once again! All the best, Irene and Alex.
We loved this place so much. It was perfectly set in the woods but still had a few neighbors nearby. A view from the balcony was picturesque and Serene. My kids love the bunk beds as well as the games provided. They also loved the fire pit. The host did a great job of stocking the house, especially the kitchen and bathroom. We will definitely rent this place again when we're in the area.

We loved staying in Irene’s Charlevoix home! It had plenty of space for myself and my partner. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The bathroom had great amenities and the shower was amazing. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning with some coffee and listening to the birds. The property was lovely and quiet, and a great base camp for exploring from TC to Petosky. We would love to stay here again!

Nicole and her partner were great guests. They were kind, respectful and considerate of our home and they left the house clean and tidy. We would enjoy hosting them again.
This property is in an excellent location to explore Charlevoix, Petoskey and Elk Rapids. We especially liked Norwood Township Beach, Otis pottery and kayaking on Lake Charlevoix. The staff at Summertime Rentals was very kind and helpful. The house was very clean and had so many extras: the kitchen had all cooking utensils that you could want as well as spices. The shower was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. This was one of the best vacation houses in which we have stayed…thanks!

Hi Marcie, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay at our house and had a great time in the area. We appreciate the kind words and look forward to hosting you once again! All the best, Irene and Alex.
Easy checkin, loved the kwik set lovely system, easy to operate, kitchen is great and open that leads to a very large deck, bathroom is modern and big, bed and bedrooms are comfortable. The house did get humid, needed to use a fan or open windows to assist with the humidity, but this was so minor, we would definitively return if we are ever in the area. Overall, great private, quiet, cozy home surrounded by beautiful trees. Great location to beaches and to the state park and lost cellars winery.

Marisa and her group were excellent guests. They were kind, respectful and considerate of our home and they left the house clean and tidy. We would enjoy hosting them again.
It was easy checking process. When we arrived the code for the door was provided in advanced and we were in the house in the seconds. We woke up with singing birds. The place was very clean with all linens provided. It is really 5 min drive to the Lake Michigan beach. We took a great walk and saw a spectacular sunset. And 15 min drive to Downtown Charlevoix with cozy coffee places and restaurants. It has beautiful Lake town. Also we visited (10 min drive) Fisherman Island State Park with great hiking trails. When we got back we grilled steaks and vegetables: the house had all needed equipment. And relaxed on the deck. We used 2 bedrooms with very comfortable queen beds. I would go back there at any moment if I could.
