THIS IS THE PERFERCT home for a family or friends getaway, to see and experience the best of what the South County area of RI has to offer, along with Newport, without breaking the bank! The nightly stays are less than a hotel however, offer the coziness of a home. Split the cost with friends. Do not pay thousands more for a house on, or within, 10 minutes of the water or a major beach, Don't follow the beaten path; save your hard earned money.
This awesome home is located in South Kingstown RI, and is located 20-25 minutes from Newport, the Block Island ferry, Galilee (great charter fishing boats), and all the great beaches and restaurants in between.
TF Green International Airport is a 30 minute drive to the house and the Kingston train station is 5 minute drive from the house. - GREAT for a day trip to Providence or Boston. Many stays at my home are for activities in Newport such as the Jazz festival, folk Festival, and graduations for the The Newport Naval Academy. It also host to Brown University Graduations in Providence and URI graduations as well as summer events at URI and the Ryan Center, which is 1/2 mile down the street .
This home is inviting with an open concept that can accomadate 10 people easily without feeling you are on top of each other. It features 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with a laundry room. (Three bedrooms upstairs and two are downstairs.)
It is located in a quiet neighborhood, less than 3/4 miles from URI.
If you don't feel like cooking or dining out, hit the URI food court that offers a variety for take out or delivery. You can enjoy an evening at home cooking in the well-appointed kitchen or you may choose to grill your favorite foods on the spacious deck.
Local restaurants in South Kingston, Narragansett, Newport, and Charlestown offer cuisines for all tastes and budgets.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were traveling with 3 generations of family. The house offered great space in the kitchen, dining and living room for everyone to spend time together in. The additional living room in the basement gave a little quiet and privacy in the evening when needed. The beds were all the same size and very comfortable so everyone was happy. The back yard looked very tranquil, though we didn’t have much time to enjoy it. We would love to stay here again if we’re back in the area.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and the host. The welcome package was unexpected and so needed after a long day of travel. All my questions were answered almost immediately, and if there was anything I needed, the host went out of his way to make sure it was taken care of. The place was so beautiful that I wish I had not made so many traveling plans just so that I could've spent more time enjoying the home and it's cozy amenities, like the deck, grill, yard and fireplace in the large and very green yard! I will DEFINITELY be contacting the host for my next trip to Rhode Island!

Awesome host. Awesome place. Super clean. The Keurig was broken when we got there. Luckily they had a regular coffee pot. We let the host know. We went to the beach for the day and when we got back a new one was waiting by the door for us. The house was bigger than expected and the host provided lots of stuff for use. It was helpful cause we forgot our beach towels and they had some there for use. Their beach towels were nice and big too. The washing machine is coin op but he provided you with a roll of quarters.

Great Place!

This was a great location and home! Very comfortable and plenty of space for a large group to stay. We were greeted with bottles of wine and a basket of snacks which was a nice surprise!

Had a wonderful long weekend stay while in town for family wedding. House was perfect for our group of 8, & lovely gift basket with supplies for s’mores was a huge hit too! Host has beach chairs and boogie boards, and all needed house supplies. Perfect home for a large group.

URI Celebration

Great place to stay for a URI event. The location is very close to the school and all of the amenities were perfect. There is enough space for a large group or family to stay at the house. Added benefit, there was a very nice welcome package for us when we arrived.

Perfect location for a group of friends

Everything was great here for our jazz festival trip; more than enough space for us, and being close to URI means food is easily accessible. Only note is that the checkout time is somewhat early at 9am.

Iwould like to extend the checkpout to 10;00 next year, but that depends on how the turn around crew can respond to getting the house ready for the next group of people coming in the same day for 4:00 PM arrival, especially if its a full group of 10 that stayed. We didn’t want to leave.

We staying fir 2 weeks and I can’t say enough about how enjoyable our stay here was. We felt so cozy and Steve didn’t let us lack anything. There were 8 of us and had no issues with room. We will stay again!

8 family members gathered for a graduation. Rather than be in separate hotel rooms a VRBO was the perfect plan and this house was ideal! Communication with Steve leading up to our stay was great. He was able to accommodate my needs. The house is roomy and comfy. We all ate at the dining table together and relaxed around the tv with room for all. The back yard was fun with a fire pit and room for the lawn games we brought. Everything we could have wanted was provided. And to top it off Steve left the biggest welcome basket filled with very special treats and wine!!!! Couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks Steve for helping us celebrate our son’s graduation from URI

Rhode Island Family Getaway

This place was perfect for my family of four which includes two teens. The place was super clean, and the kids loved having their own "place" on the lower level. Very convenient to beaches, BI ferry, and Newport. It's also just down the road from URI (we biked to it). Highly recommend.

Great Stay - Central Location

While ideally we would have liked to be closer to beach, this property ended up working very well for us located a short ride to both beach destinations (Newport & GreenHill). Host did a great job conmmunicating and with little things to make this an enjoyable stay like a welcome gift, and basic beach equipment. Layout furnishings were clean and well kept.

Wonderful Experience

This was the perfect place for a group to stay. Plenty of room and very peaceful in a rural setting. We had a daughter graduate from the Navy Officer Training School in Newport which is about 25 minutes away. Highly recommend if you have a group of 8-10 guest.

One of the best properties we’ve ever booked. Steven was incredibly informative, responsive, and communicative both before and after our stay, which made the entire experience seamless from start to finish.This home truly has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay away from home and then some. From the thoughtful welcome snacks to the fully equipped laundry room and well-stocked bathrooms, every detail was clearly considered with guests in mind. It’s rare to stay somewhere that feels this warm, organized, and genuinely welcoming.What really sets this property apart is the level of care Steven puts into the guest experience. You can tell he has thought of every little detail to make guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home. Our stay at Steve’s

Our stay was overall great. Great value for the house, clean, comfortable and beautiful scenery. The welcome gift basket was more than welcoming, amazing gesture by Steve. You can tell he really cares about making the stay as enjoyable as possible. Definitely will reach out to him when in town again. 5 stars all round, highly recommended!

I am from RI, I love to golf and the great beaches in this state. I chose to host this house for the summer to give people an opportunity to enjoy the beaches, Newport, and Block Island (all within 25 minutes drive time), and not break there bank in the mean time to have a nice vacation. Why spend an extra $1000.00-3000.00 for the same living situation to be on or within 20 minutes of a waterfront or a major beach?

It is a nice area and quiet, its a half a mile from URI, 25 minutes from Newport and the Block Island Ferry, and all the great beaches in between, as well as fine dining in Narragansett, Wakefield and Newport as well.
