My kids really enjoyed the pool! Plenty of space and love the hammock chair my daughter asked can we come back here every year when it’s my birthday! Enjoyed the character of the house as well. We had a great time. I definitely recommend this property.

Great location

Nice location for riding the Gap trail and hiking. We liked the fenced in yard for our dog. Would stay there again. Great family vacation!

We had a great time staying here. So much to do and it’s so nice returning to this house. The pool was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The house was comfortable and clean. We would rent here again.

Family holiday weekend

Wonderful property. Location perfect halfway point for family from DC area and Cleveland area. House located in the heart of Ohiopyle- easy to walk to trail, pub and coffee shop. Home well stocked and beautifully decorated for holiday season! We will be back in the summer to raft!

Ohiopyle getaway

The Blue Heron was perfect for our weekend in the Laurel Highlands. Great location - restaurants, shops, hiking, biking and the river are all an easy walk from the house. Comfy house with every amenity. Wonderful fenced in yard for the pups, delightful hot tub.

Great place and location!

We loved our family trip to Ohiopyle! The house and location made the difference! Within short walking distance to all the shops and the river. The pool was so refreshing, especially since the days were hot and we didn't have power on one of the days (which we were updated frequently by homeowner on when power would be restored), so the pool felt great! The house had all the amenities you could need. Beds were comfortable, rooms and bathrooms spacious, big couch fit all 8 of us :) Would definitely recommend and stay there again! Thank you!

This was a great place to stay for a family trip. Ohiopyle is a small town and you really can walk to anywhere in less than 5 minutes ... except for Wilderness Voyageurs which might be closer to 10 minutes. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning, the pool was great, and we had a fine time cooking steaks and dining on the covered back deck. The only fault, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is the distinct smell of cat pee as soon as you walk in. That's unpleasant.

Our group enjoyed the peacefulness and ameneties such as the pool and hot tub. Unfortunately on the day of departure, the upstairs bathroom leaked into the dining room. Message was left but heard nothing back from host.However, it was nice overall.

This property was awesome. The location was great and the space and charm was very nice. We were only disappointed that only one bedroom had a TV. Please add Roku TVs to all rooms before our next visit. Also the downstairs tub drained really slow. We loved the sectional in the living room. Beds were very comfortable. It would be great if the deck to the hot tub reached the back door. We are already planning a summer trip back. Such a great place!

Family getaway

Perfect location, easy walk to town. Downstairs bedroom and bath are great for someone who isn’t a fan of stars. Three more bedrooms and a large bathroom upstairs. Kitchen well equipped, roomy & spotless. Living area sofa was very comfortable. Wi-Fi sufficient for someone who had to work remotely. Cell service better outside than inside. TV had many options for a rainy day. Pool, hot tub, patio area were absolutely wonderful. Yard is large for play and secure for dogs. We had a fun, relaxing, comfortable stay and would definitely book this property again.

The location of the home could not be better. The amenities, pool, hot tub, fire pit and the large fenced in yard were wonderful and greatly enhanced our stay in the area. The home itself, is older and has character. The disappointment was with the bedding and towels that are fraying and/or had holes. Furniture in the bedrooms needed dusted and cobwebs cleaned. The stocked coffee/tea bar was appreciated.
