Love how cozy and spacious the place was owners were so attentive and responded quicker when needed help! I would love to stay again and definitely recommending friends and family!
We loved the Cajun Cottage with its NOLA Saints theme. Comfortable little cottage with amazing outdoor areas with cornhole boards, cards and games for entertaining. Close to all Grand Canyon experiences and Williams was a fun town to eat drink shop and be merry!
We took a family vacation to the Grand Canyon for spring g break. We chose to stay here and it was perfect for our needs. The place is beautiful, stunning views, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We would definitely stay here again
Great hosts who were always available with tips on “can’t miss hikes”, safety practices and good local food. The house was like home - with everything we forgot, even spare toothbrushes! Quiet location with great outdoor spaces. Kids loved it!
We have absolutely enjoyed our stay here! It's very close to all the popular attractions which made our travel easier. The cabin itself is warm and welcoming; the beds were comfortable, the blankets were cozy and soft, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need for cooking, the couch was comfortable while we warmed up from the chilly weather. Overall a beautiful and amazing place to stay. Will definitely keep this saved as a place to come back to in the future.
We had a lovely stay. We absolutely enjoyed the location. The house is well equipped and very clean. We felt home right away. The train passing by very frequently was disturbing in the night but gladly the kids were not bothered with it.

We regret our guest had an issue with the cold. We have central heat as well as three mini split AC/heat units. Prior to this guests stay and without the mini splits we did not have any issues with the downstairs being cold nor with this particular room.
Some positive things about this cabin is perfect for family and is very clean and well organized. Some cons are the train noises nearby that comes very often and the road to the cabin is not paved and your car will most likely get dirty. Over all love the area and had a great time!
This cabin was not only super close to our destination (Bearizona) but it was nestled back in a cute neighborhood of pines, yet plenty of room to feel secluded and let the kids roam. We brought 9 of us ranging from 1-72. The rooms and sleeping areas worked perfectly. My older mom had a room to herself downstairs, my babies slept in their pack n plays upstairs, my 6, 10, and 17 year old had comfy spots up in the loft area while we enjoyed a private bedroom, and they still had extra sleeping options. The flooring was clean and smooth for our crawler. The cabin was super cozy with nice mattresses, couch and fuzzy throw blankets. One of the porches has a fence around it along with a gate to enclose it...which is the sole reason we rented this cabin...we have a 2 year old eloper. Everything about this cabin worked perfectly for our family.
This property was rustic but clean and nicely kept up. It is definitely not friendly to people with any kind of knee issues or disability. The kitchen was equipped with most things, dishes, cups, silverware, cooking supplies. There was a nearby train that went through every 15-30 minutes all night long which made it difficult to get to sleep. Over all it was a nice place, far from the hustle and bustle of a city but still close enough to nearby towns and only an hour from the Grand Canyon.
Great cabin with easy drive to Grand Canyon South Rim
A very fun and comfortable cabin with easy access to I-40. The kids appreciated the board games & outdoor games. We had trouble getting the downstairs TV to work, but we honestly didn't have time to watch it anyway.
A couple of things to note: some of the areas lack privacy. One of the sleeping areas is partitioned via a curtain, but a couple of the extra ones are not in a room. Also, the barn door on the master bathroom leaves a gap when closed, so it does not provide total privacy.
Also, the property is near a train track, and trains go by on a regular basis. It did not bother us, but if you're a light sleeper you may notice.
Overall, we loved the cabin, and the hosts were very responsive. He tried to help us troubleshoot the TV issue, but we ended up not needing it anyway.
Nanette and Josh bring their southern roots to the Cajun Cottage! Having been born and raised in Southwest Louisiana where incredible food, lively Cajun music, and friends and family reign supreme they wanted to bring that feel to the forests of Northern Arizona.
They purchased this cabin in 2021 and went to work revamping the entire place. Nanette has a fine eye for decor and gets all of the credit for decorating this great escape. In early 2025 three mini-split AC/Heating units were installed, the front deck was completely demo'd and rebuilt as well as a new back deck and covered ramada with seating.
The Cajun Cottage is not an investment rental or purchased with the goal of making money, but rather to have an escape for them and their daughter. They are pleased to offer a little of their Cajun hospitality through the Cajun Cottage.
Why they chose this property
Nanette and Josh first started visiting this area in 2015 and stayed with friends right in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood. When this property became listed in 2021 they jumped at the opportunity to join their large circle of friends who are now neighbors. When they are at the cabin it is a regular occurrence for them to host friends, cook, enjoy a beverage, and "pass a good time".
Thanksgiving has become a regular event at the Cajun Cottage as well. Friends will stay or rent in the area and on the big day, a big turkey is deep-fried Cajun style.
What makes this property unique
Nanette and Josh truly want our guests to feel at home. Throughout their lives their home has been the warm welcome center where all everyone gathers. They wanted the same feel for the Cajun Cottage.
Nanette's vision was to have a comfortable cabin and took advantage of the little nooks to offer inviting spaces to relax. Add in the exceptionally comfortable beds, full kitchen, gas firepits/grill, ample parking, and inviting atmosphere and you have a recipe to make incredible memories.
