Relax in comfort at this newly renovated home. With a secluded wooded view in the middle of Amish country, you can let the stress of everyday life evaporate. Enjoy a morning breakfast on the deck or just gaze up through the treetops while listening to the gentle breeze. In the heart of PA Dutch Country, this place is just a few miles from attractions like Dutch Wonderland and Strasburg Rail Road. But you'll also be a mere 30 minutes from the fine cuisine and art of downtown Lancaster. Parking is free and plentiful. Rental is for the entire house.
This house has been newly renovated inside. You will enter into the hallway where you can immediately offload you jackets and shoes. A spacious living room and kitchen area will then be revealed, perfect for social activities and relaxing. The newly built deck includes a gas grill and is easily accessed via the kitchen or dining area.
An adjacent hallway provides access to the main bathroom and the three bedrooms, which are situated far enough away for the main living areas to ensure peace and rest. The master and second bedrooms have a queen bed each. The third bedroom has a double bed. A mid-day's nap might end with window view of the trees, perfect for ensuring your batteries are fully charged before returning to everyday life.
If you need to do laundry, a clean and practical utility room is down the staircase from the kitchen. Here you will find a washer, a dryer and laundry detergents.
As our guest, you can enjoy the entire first floor of the house, and make use of the utility room downstairs if needed. Enjoy a late morning breakfast on the spacious deck surrounding two sides of the house, or rest on our yard enveloping the house.
The barn is off limits to our guests, due to safety. The pond down the hill is not part of the estate and is thus off limits.
If electrical issues occur, there is access to the breaker box through the door beside the dryer.

About the host
Hosted by Richard L Whitehead
I am from Paradise, PA but currently live in Norway. My Mom and Dad are co-hosts and handle guest affairs. They live about 2 minutes away in the house where I grew up. I love hosting because I want to share this unique and secluded home with others.
Why they chose this property
The house belonged to my grandparents. I took it over after they passed away. This home has so many memories for me - helping to build it in 1990, spending Christmas day here with my grandparents, and sitting on the deck with my grandmother talking about horses and her garden. I hope your time here will make for great memories too.
What makes this property unique
The home is secluded and peaceful but also easy to access, and full of necessities and amenities. The forest that surrounds the property help to shield the home from road traffic. The Amish neighbors are also quiet.
