El Pino is Spanish for The Pine, chosen for the property's towering pine trees and that locals commonly refer the town as "the pine." The home's rustic décor features a Mexican/Southwestern theme with a focus on casual comfort, inside and out. El Pino is located in a family-friendly residential neighborhood on a quiet street at the base of Alpine's famous "A" mountain, a 10-minute walk to downtown Alpine. Sleep soundly on high-quality mattresses in generous sized rooms. 300 mb/s broadband WiFi and a large smart TV provided. Well stocked kitchen and pantry. Central cooling & heating provided a high quality HVAC system. Outside are shaded seating areas and a Weber propane BBQ grill. Enjoy skyline views, sunsets and wildlife (deer, javelina, fox, etc.) from the front and back porches and at night gather around an outdoor fireplace for storytelling and stargazing. Powered by 100% renewable energy.
IMPORTANT: El Pino is located in a quiet neighborhood of retirees so it is NOT a party house. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10 PM to 9 AM. Noncompliance will result in removal from the property. Please book elsewhere if this is a concern.

We loved this rental and would not hesitate to stay here again. It’s a great location for driving to Big Bend, and Alpine is a neat little town with a few restaurants. House was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, coffee, spices, condiments etc. they even had a pack and play available for our 2 year old!
Property was super clean and so thoughtfully prepared for guests. We stayed 6 nights and explored the Big Bend area. Beds were great and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

El Pino was just as anticipated and did not disappoint. Everything was clean and in working order. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked with the essentials of home. Quiet neighborhood. Train whistles on occasion, but that didn’t bother me. Thanks for sharing your property with us!
We visit Alpine as often as we can and this sweet home was the best!! Derek was super attentive to our needs and our experience here was wonderful!! Will rent here again as soon as we can!!
The home was beautifully furnished and very well stocked. It was a great base for us to tour the area and to ride in the Davis Mountain Cyclefest.
Our hosts were wonderful, and even accommodated our last minute request to arrive a day early.
We are looking forward to a return visit!
The ElPino in Alpine was a great central place for west texas. Able to hit Marfa, Ft Davis and Big Bend NP. Marfa Lights is just a short drive but no guarantee to appear.
Quiet neighborhood, nice front and back porch views.
There are no surprises with this property. The pictures and description are on target, and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. We stayed 3 nights while exploring Ft Davis, Marfa, Terlingua and the Chisos Mountains, and I would stay at this property again if I ever return. .
We had a great stay at this cute little house. Nice area/neighborhood. Covered parking right outside the back door. Well-stocked house. Comfortable furnishings. Good communication with the host. All the things you need from a vrbo rental and more. We will definitely return next time we're in Alpine!
My family and I were in Alpine for a long weekend. My daughter was graduating college and we came to watch. The house was a perfect location. Saw lots of deer behind the house. The fire pit in the back was so nice in the evenings. We loved the decor of the house. Very Alpine-ish. They even had a Christmas tree put up. Everything was so clean and organized. Would definitely recommend their place to anyone wanted to spend time in Alpine. The host was super nice and very responsive. Thank you again.
El Pino was wonderful. Kitchen well stocked, house was very clean, comfortable beds. Furniture was unique and comfortable. We enjoyed rocking on the front porch in the evenings. We would highly recommend El Pino!
