This villa is located 100 yards from the beach. The Kiawah beach is 10 miles long and very wide at low tide. Sea turtles nest there and dolphins can often be seen playing just off shore.
The Night Heron Park recreation area and Nature Center are 200 yards in the other direction. The Nature Center has great displays and information about the local wildlife. Plus they rent bikes. There are miles and miles of trails throughout the island.
The Sanctuary Hotel and Spa is within easy walking distance. It has several excellent restaurants. Kiawah Resort has 4 great public golf courses (Cougar Point, Turtle Point, Osprey, Oak Point) and one championship public course (The Ocean Course). The tennis facilities have been ranked #1 by Tennis Magazine. Also, downtown Charleston is an easy a 40 minute drive.
