About this property

Welcome to Ocean Serenity! Spacious one story quiet and clean home. There are beautiful ocean views from almost every window. Our home is located on a quiet street, with panoramic windows facing the ocean. The backyard is private with a forested hill behind. The secluded front deck is a perfect place to enjoy the sunshine while reading a good book, (from the house's library) or taking an afternoon siesta. A short path in the backyard leads to a private viewing deck to enjoy the gorgeous ocean sunsets.

Toes in the sand is a quick two blocks away and hiking the Knoll trail is about four blocks from the house. The Knoll Trail has many avenues, one leading up to the Knoll Lookout with a panoramic view of Devil's Lake and the coastline. Another avenue is to hike the trail to God's Thumb, which leads you to a magnificent view up and down the coastline.

The well stocked kitchen is a cook's delight, or, take it easy and enjoy any of the many yummy places to eat in Lincoln City or one of the neighboring coastal towns. For your morning cup of coffee you have your choice of a single cup Keurig, Melita Pour Over or a programmable Coffee Maker. The large dining room is great for sharing a meal, playing a game, crafting, or putting together one of the many puzzles in the game closet. The dining room boasts a gas stove (fireplace) perfect for a cool winter morning, while cozying up in the comfortable oversized chair with your cup of coffee watching the waves roll in.

The roomy living room has three sofas, great for conversation, reading or watching a movie. It is also a great place to just sit and enjoy the amazing ocean views and abundant wildlife. You are sure to see one of the many neighborhood deer that freely roam the street.

The jacuzzi tub is a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing, beachcombing, hiking or just about anytime you want to relax in the tranquil warmth of your private spa.

The King Size Bedroom leads to the backyard with another private deck, great for conversation while sipping your morning coffee. Two Queen Size beds in second bedroom with ensuite bathroom and jacuzzi tub. One bed in this room is a Queen Size Futon with a memory foam mattress. All beds are new, including a Queen Size Hide A Bed in living room with Memory Foam mattress.

Girls’ weekend

The house was light and airy yet cozy too—and very well-appointed for cooking. It was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach. With two bathrooms, each with a shower, we were completely taken care of by this home. The front, sunny deck, had the best view and the back offered shade. This is a great spot but had ADA challenges if that applies to your group due to entry stairs and railings that I believe are in-progress to upgrade with the lovely exterior remodel. Interior has a stair as well to living room. But so nice!!!

A Nice Place to Relax

Roads End is a nice community with great access to the beach but is off the beaten path enough to feel more remote. I was able do some hiking around the point and also up to God’s Thumb. The house was great with two outdoor observation decks and a front room that also looks toward the sea. The only complaint I would say is there are a few power lines that cut across the view. Not a real problem since the beach access is a short walk. I have no problem recommending this vacation home to any of my friends or family. I did have some family visit mid week and they loved this place as well.

We loved our stay at the Road's End cottage!

We had a wonderful time at Judy's cottage in Lincoln City! The entire home was extremely clean & organized. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything functioned perfectly. Thank you so much for the extra ice and Keurig coffee pods! We forgot our coffee so that was much appreciated. The view from the front deck and the Eagles Nest were lovely. We were fortunate enough to have gorgeous weather and we spotted some whales spouting off shore on Sunday morning! The beds and furniture are all very comfortable. We appreciated the quiet Road's End location and the daily visits from the resident mama deer and her two fawns. This home is very well cared for. The updates to the home make it modern while the cozy beach cottage feel remains in every corner with the original wood accents and lovely accessories. We highly recommend this property for a beach getaway. Communication with Judy was always very prompt and helpful. We hope to return soon! -Cheryl, Kim and Julie p.s. Roads End Hideaway

Beautiful views from the house and balcony? Check. Gorgeous and clean remodeled house with all the amenities and comforts? Check. Very short stroll to fairly secluded part of the beach? Check. Fantastic family friendly layout? Check. Peace and tranquility? Baby deer eating grass out front? Check and check. Plus fantastic communication with the owner and very helpful accommodations for my family. Thank you!

If I could be anywhere, I'd be on the water in a boat, kayak, paddle board, or you name it! I also love just walking the beach and taking in all the positive energy from the negative ions in the Ocean. I have travelled all over the world. Now I travel to see my Grandchildren. Since they move frequently, I get to visit many different places. When I travel I love to stay in Vacation Rental Homes and experience what it feels like in a particular neighborhood, to get out an walk, imagining what it would be like to live there permanently. I have learned so much from staying in Vacation Rentals , how to provide just the right space for my guests. I like being a host so others can experience the joy I have when I am in this home.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because of a friend's recommendation. It was love at first sight when I stepped into this home. There was something so special about it, not to mention the view! It is a hidden gem, small and mighty! We have spent the last two years upgrading and fine tuning and we are now ready to welcome guests. The neighborhood is quiet, the house is secluded (did I mention a private back yard that backs to a forest) with many out door spaces for conversation, sharing a glass of wine and just gazing at the magnificent ocean. Spotting whales or watching the Kite Surfers is a favorite way to spend the day.

What makes this property unique

My property is mid century modern meets cozy beach cabin. The rooms are large and spacious and you can see the ocean from every room. There is a lighted trail up to the Crow's Nest Deck, and a large lighted deck 16' x 20' in the front. Each bedroom has it's own private entrance.
