Beautiful house in a great location, very close to downtown and Blue Ridge Lake. The home was lovely, comfortable, and offered a wonderful setting for a relaxing stay. The only caveat was the drive up to the house. The road has a fairly steep slope, so extra caution is needed, especially when driving in the dark.
This property is truly as shown in the pictures….gorgeous setting and a true, well-done cabin vibe. I actually sat and had coffee in the morning as deer wandered through the back space. That can’t be guaranteed of course but there were several when we were there in September. And….could not have better hosts. From the beginning there was good communication but most importantly Brandon and Tiffany were always SO responsive…to any silly question! One caution I would share is to take your tv/streaming passwords with you as there is a smart tv and you use your own services (which makes perfect sense) …but we were ill-prepared to know those passwords so just a word of preparation for guests. You will not be sorry with this space and/or the hosts….or the beautifully graceful deer. Enjoy your trip as much as we enjoyed ours.
We needed a little staycation and had the most wonderful time at this property. It was located in a secluded, peaceful and quiet environment and the home was filled with activities that kept the entire family busy during our stay. We loved it and will be return guests!
The cabin was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of space to accommodate our 6 adults and 1 toddler. We enjoyed having the large dining table that supported family dinners.
I celebrated my birthday in this beautiful cabin surrounded by loved ones and everything was perfect. The view from each patio was stunning. The place had everything we needed, and it was spotless. If you’re looking for a good cabin, this is it!
We had a wonderful time. House was very clean and nice. We do wish it had a big porch for us to sit on. Porches they have were nice but very small. We had fun for sure.
This is a beautiful log home! The "basic" needs were all met (kitchen supplies, utensils, blankets, etc) but the owners went above and beyond to ensure our comfort by including extras (Ninja blender, hot tub towels, extra starter supplies, books, games, etc). The decor is so lovely and the sleeping accommodations are plentiful, with the layouts perfect. The master bedroom closet was large enough for a pack-n-play to fit in order for the baby to have his own "room". The location is convenient to town, groceries, hiking, etc, but also on a secluded, hill top lot where the view is beautiful. I highly recommend a stay at this very cozy, yet spacious log cabin!
The property was as advertised. There were several problems ( door lock, some insects) both were promptly corrected. One main concern was the softness of the mattress and another was the steep driveway. Brandon and Tiffany provided a great experience.Ted Turner
The cabin in peaceful, you definitely feel tucked away from the noise in the world here.
My only hang ups were that my family and I flew in early to prepare for Thanksgiving the next day and the owner wouldn’t budge at all on early check in so that we could get our groceries put away and begin food preparations.
The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the room above you.
If you have a large family to cook for you better bring your own pan. This vacation rental only has tiny pans to use for cooking.
We’ve stayed at several cabins in Blue Ridge area over the years and this location was the best so far. We’re a family of 6 and know what we need/like. Pics and description accurate. Newer build. High end amenities. Clean as can be. Good supply of toiletry and kitchen items provided. (Thank you!) Separate beach towels for the hot tub. 4 1/2 baths- what a dream! Host was very helpful and responded quickly with our few questions. Also we weren’t required to do a ton of chores when checking out which was a nice touch. (We cleaned up anyway bc that’s how we do). Thanks Brandon for creating this beautiful space. Note the first half of road/driveway to house is gravel and the rest is paved/a little steep. Our Odyssey had no issue up/down. By the 2nd time up we got the hang of it. 😊
