Clint, thank you for your review! We're glad to hear the location and peaceful setting of Piedmont Kitchen House met your expectations :) We hope to host you again soon!
Overall the house was in great condition. We had to move some furniture slightly to accommodate our baby and noticed that the floors under furniture had not been cleaned in quite awhile. The larger couch may have hard dog hair, my husband is allergic and had a reaction upon sitting on the couch. Also found several long silver hairs around the kitchen. For morning coffee, there is a Keurig provided with generic cups and powdered coffee mate. Overall it was a very nice stay and was a relaxing place for our family! If the home had been a little cleaner we would have been extremely satisfied.

Thank you for your review! We’re very happy that you were pleased with your stay. Your comments concerning cleanliness have been noted.
Excellent location. Lovely piece of property, close to everything, yet secluded. The house itself is comfortable, roomy, and clean. We enjoyed the mornings taking in the wildlife and afternoons seeing the sights. Would definitely stay again.

The house was actually bigger than it looks from the outside, we had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Would definitely stay again and I think the cold months would be a great time also to visit with the gas fire it would be lovely and cozy.

Sarah, thanks so much for 5-stars :) We are so glad to hear that Piedmont Kitchen House had everything you needed for a great stay! It's definitely a cozy time in the cooler months - we'd love to host you again any time of year!!
We enjoyed a quiet and peaceful retreat from our busy lives while staying at the Piedmont Kitchen House. The house itself was clean and beautiful and offered a very cozy environment. The location is absolutely gorgeous, and we enjoyed the surrounding view of fall foliage. Spying white squirrels running through the trees was also a fun perk. We offer two tips to guests: bring your favorite Keurig pods, and arrive before dark as the long driveway has a few confusing twists - especially if you're driving a large vehicle in the dark.

Jill, thank you so much for your review! We're thrilled to hear that Piedmont Kitchen House provided the peaceful retreat you were looking for—and that you got to enjoy the fall colors, and spot a few white squirrels! Great tips for future guests, too ;) We’d love to welcome y'all back for another cozy escape!
The house is amazing. Small and cozy but plenty of room, clean, nice furniture and cookware, oven works great. We saw plenty of animals and a white squirrel. The heat and fireplace do a good job of heating the house quickly. Awesome porches, with one being screened in. 10/10

Dakota, thank you so much for the glowing review! We’re thrilled to hear that you found Piedmont Kitchen House both cozy and spacious—and how cool that you spotted a white squirrel :) We’d love to host you again anytime!
It was a secluded location. Maximum quiet. This place is a teen is reference to the quietness. Is a easy 10 minute drive to downtown Hendersonville and there are numerous craft brewies and decent wineries in the area. My only negative comment is that this is an up and down somewhat renervated older cottage house. Both bedrooms are located on the second floor and the kitchen dates from the 60's. However everything works (ac; stove; washer and dryer and internet).

Linda, thank you for the thoughtful review! We’re glad you appreciated the peaceful seclusion and the convenient location close to downtown Hendersonville, and local breweries/wineries. It’s great to hear that everything was in working order and contributed to a comfortable stay. We understand that the home’s older charm and kitchen might not be to everyone’s taste, but we’re pleased that the key amenities were functional. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future at this or any Yonder home!

OK, but a few minor inconveniences
The home is nice enough but there were a few minor inconveniences that detracted from our stay. There was a huge rental contract that needed close to a dozen signatures. While the home is on 65 acres, there are two other homes right next to this one (not sure that was clear in the description). We had no internet or TV for the first 24 hours, but the management company did a good job getting someone out there to fix it. Minor stuff, but there was no blender, hair dryer or a regular coffee maker (Keurig only). The home is very quaint and had some nice views.

Gene, thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed Piedmont Kitchen House’s charm and beautiful views. Regarding the rental agreement, as a licensed real estate firm, we’re required to follow specific regulations, but we’ll explore ways to make the process feel less cumbersome ;) We’ll also review the listing to ensure the proximity of neighboring homes is clearly noted. We apologize for the initial internet and TV outage, and are pleased our team could resolve it promptly. As for the amenities, we’ll review our inventory and consider adding items like a blender, hair dryer, and standard coffee maker. We hope you still had a relaxing stay and would love the opportunity to host you again in the future!

Beautiful house, horrible management company
TL/DR: What bothers me most isn't that they didn't provide what they were supposed to; it's that they lied about it.
We booked our Thanksgiving stay at the Piedmont Kitchen House in May, long before Hurricane Helene. A few weeks after Helene hit, I checked in to see if the property had sustained damage. The reply I received read like a form letter and said, "Fortunately, the owner of Piedmont Kitchen House has confirmed there is no property damage."
Leading up to our stay, we got the normal form emails with information about check-in, wi-fi, etc. When we arrived, we noticed that the internet wasn't working. When we called maintenance, we were informed that the internet was unavailable indefinitely due to Helene, so we would have no internet or TV during our stay. This not only impacted our entertainment options (with small kids) - it also impacted our ability to do our jobs remotely.
Finally, the washing machine did not work for our entire stay. It did not fill with water and threw a related error message.
Lack of internet, TV, and washer/dryer was already not the experience we paid for. It was an extra disappointment considering that we had checked well ahead of time and been told that everything was working perfectly. I loved the house itself, but I felt very misled by the management company and their impersonal treatment. I reached out with sympathy, and they responded every step of the way with form letters, LOTS of marketing emails, and bureaucracy.

Hilary, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear about the frustrations you experienced during your stay at Piedmont Kitchen House, and we want to address your concerns thoughtfully. First, we completely understand how important internet and TV can be for both entertainment and remote work, especially with small children and during a holiday. Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene caused significant damage to the regional AT&T infrastructure, which has made internet restoration beyond our immediate control. The homeowner is actively working on a solution to find an alternative provider, but we regret that this was not resolved in time for your stay. Regarding your inquiry before your visit, the statement about ‘no property damage’ was accurate at the time of communication, as the home itself was not physically damaged. We apologize if this led to confusion about the availability of internet/TV services. As for the washing machine, we deeply regret the inconvenience it caused. Maintenance should have addressed this during your stay, and we’ll investigate why it wasn’t resolved promptly. We understand your concerns about communication feeling impersonal. As a licensed real estate firm, there are certain legal and regulatory frameworks we must adhere to, which can sometimes make our processes feel more formal. However, this is never meant to detract from providing a personal, empathetic touch, and we’ll strive to do better in this regard. We truly appreciate your understanding of the challenges posed by the hurricane and your kind words about the home itself. We’d love the opportunity to host you again in the future and provide the seamless, relaxing experience you were hoping for. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, and we’ll use your feedback to continue improving :)
