This home sleeps 4 and is a short walk to downtown Eureka Springs, offering local restaurants, shops, bars, and so much more!
Mimosa Cottage offers a large living room with a Smart TV so you can login to your own streaming services. The living room also has the first queen sized bed. Located off the living room is the master bedroom with a queen sized bed and master bathroom. This bathroom has a shower/tub combo and plenty of towels for your stay. Mimosa Cottage is located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood just a short walk from downtown Eureka Springs. You can also easily drive and park closer to shops and restaurants if you'd prefer. There is a staircase located close to the cottage known to locals as, "Jacob's Ladder." This flight of stairs is incredibly convenient to use to navigate to the downtown district; however, this should not be used for the faint of heart as this staircase is built into the side of the mountain, so it is steep!
We are available by phone throughout your stay to answer any questions and offer insight on our favorite restaurants and entertainment.
Please note, this unit is heated and cooled with window units, gas fireplace, and space heaters.

Mimosa Cottage in Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Nice location given the property's propinquity to the downtown, business district of Eureka Springs. For those inclined to spare the headache and cost of parking, Mimosa Cottage is but a few steps from direct access to Jacob's Ladder which cascades down the steep hillside to the base of the business district. It would be most helpful however if there were a large, colorful sign indicating the exact entrance point to the stairs and some lights along the rails to help navigate in the dark. The historic cottage itself was somewhat disappointing for a number of reasons. It could use some sprucing up on the front porch and door, updating some of the furniture and lighting inside, repairing/replacing the non-functioning stove and enhancing the woeful landscaping of the property. The floors are uneven, which poses a possible safety hazard, and should at least be addressed with some sort of caution devices. Last, the bathtub and shower need to go. They should be replaced with an updated and safer version. The tub sits up high, into and out of which it is difficult to climb. There are also no handle bars to secure one's footing while showering and the wrap around shower curtain is a nuisance. While no fault of the Mimosa Cottage, the road signs along the hillside and throughout the town are bewildering. Navigating the streets is like a trying to solve a maze. The Eureka Springs Tourist Society needs to offer better, more visible and more accurate street signage.

Cozy and Convenient
The cottage was cozy but took some getting used to. Neighborhood was quiet and close to downtown; the neighborhood location created a nice cut through to avoid driving around the town to get to downtown or to other things in Eureka Springs. Only an hour away from Branson and 1.5 hours from Springfield made the trip that much better. The house advertised check in at 3:00 and I was not sent check-in info until I reached out, the day before our stay, and was told check-in would be at 4:00, but Dalton was very responsive and said if ready earlier then we could check-in then. House advertised as a 4 person hot tub but only was allowed 2 people (only a minor thing because it was just two of us, just not what was advertised). Also, supposed to be a fully stocked kitchen to be able to make whatever you want; stove didn’t work and was not told, minimal pots and pans, only seasoning was salt, pepper, ground mustard and paprika I believe. Only ground coffee was decaf and there were only enough filters for one each day of the stay. Luckily we bring our own coffee just in case, and we brought a little kettle grill so we were able to make our steak dinner we brought (a tradition). There was an electric burner so it saved us, too, but not ideal. Light was sparse (my husband doesn’t like sitting in the near dark). The floors were pretty filthy, too, and the living room and bathroom floors slant so it can make you feel a little off. The hot water lasted for no time at all.
