Excellent place to rest and relax. We saw a small deer on the property, lots of baby squirrels, red birds, the babbling creek. The weather was excellent. Would definitely recommend this property a nd will stay again.

This home was so charming. We absolutely loved the property, the attention to detail in all aspects of our visit. The story behind the house made it even more special. It's truly like staying in your grandmothers home. If you are looking for somewhere to feel at home, and to relax, this is the place. You won't regret it!

The pictures simply do not do this place justice! As someone who loves old homes and antiques, I was in heaven! This cabin has been gorgeously restored and is filled with genuine antiques that brought back so many sweet memories of my childhood. Every corner has its own charm and character! The peacefulness of the surroundings and the sounds of the creek were good for the soul. And the hosts’ thoughtful little surprise was such an unexpected treat! My friend and I had an entire day planned to get out and explore the area, but here’s how much we loved this place… we never even got out of our pajamas! Yep, we traded sightseeing for soaking up every minute at the cabin, and we didn’t regret a single second! Some places are simply somewhere to stay, this one is part of the experience itself. Warm, welcoming, nostalgic, and incredibly peaceful. We absolutely loved our girls’ getaway and can’t recommend this little gem highly enough!

The Cottage was so cute and the host made us feel really welcomed with Muffins and Brownies. It was cold weather and they had the heater's on so it was nice and cozy also. We will recommend this cottage to all of our friends.

This a very well kept clean cabin and it is quiet and relaxing. We love the little stream that runs under the deck and can be seen & heard from the sunroom. It’s a beautiful setting & not far from downtown West Jefferson.

Very nice area - the creek was a BIG hit with my grandkids- my only suggestion is the temperature in the home- older home so no central air- bedroom unit was not working but we contacted the host and they had a new window unit in within 2 hrs!! I would suggest a window unit in the kitchen- cooking was very hot experience- I think a window unit in the kitchen would also flow into the living room. We were there July 3-7 so very hot temps. Would probably not rent this house again in the hot summer unless another air conditioner but would rent again in the Spring or Fall! Love the older , rustic decor- reminded me of my grandmas home!!
