About this property

Lou's Lodge

Newly built house located in Lutsen, MN. Great for families and large groups! Lots of space to kick back and relax and enjoy what Lutsen has to offer! Near Lutsen Mountain Ski Resort (9 minute drive), Superior National Golf Course (8 minute drive), hiking and snowmobile trails and much more!

A few things to note: we are located about 2 miles inland from Lake Superior. This house is a new build and we haven't had a chance to complete any landscaping yet (there's concrete patio behind the house).

You will have the entire home during your stay which has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. 2 bedrooms are located on the main level and 3rd is located in the loft (please note the loft is not fully enclosed and overlooks the living room/kitchen so noise is able to travel easily from that area).

King bed located in each bedroom on the main level. The loft also has 2 king beds as well as a pull out sofa bed for additional sleeping space. There are 3 twin sized foldable beds also on site. You will have your own fully stocked kitchen. Lots of natural light and great spaces to lounge and relax during your stay!

This place has the ability to sleep up to 12 guests but the space may be most comfortable with 8-10 adults or less. We have had many 12 person groups who have loved the space so this completely up to your preference.

Great cabin! Clean with comfortable beds! The space was perfect for our large group. We were able to all hang out in the living room but we weren't over crowded and no one had to wait for a bathroom. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. 5 Stars!

Family time!!

Lou’s Lodge accommodated our group of 11 easily. Plenty of beds for everyone and the Queen beds were super comfortable! We at first were concerned about the loft and being a problem with sleeping with noise from below, but we were so exhausted by 10 and didn’t have an issue at all! Great stay!

Superior Trail Race group

Very nice space for a large group. Three bathrooms especially made things easier. Property felt very private. Even outdoor spaces felt well-thought-out. Bedrooms have air conditioners and space heaters, to fine-tune comfort.

Lovely new home

We truly enjoyed our stay in this newly built lodge in the woods outside Lutsen. It is close to the amazingly beautiful ski area, where we took the gondola. The fall foliage in mid-September is stunning! Also went about 20 miles north to Gran Marais, a quaint town that reminded us of Alaska. The rather strenuous hike to Devil’s Kettle (15 miles north of Gran Marais) was a highlight, as well as other closer trails with vistas of Lake Superior and small lakes. There’s a lot to do in the immediate area. The home seems to be a well thought out labor of love in its architecture, furnishings and amenities. Everything is so modern and chic, just as pictured. Mattresses are linens are great, as well as kitchen accommodations. The hosts are very welcoming and responsive. Would highly recommend this home for skiing or exploring the North Shore with family and friends.
