Your group can spread out in 3,000 sq ft of open floor plan and relax without feeling cramped or crowded. Cozy up to our towering custom see-through fireplace, or relax under the Milky Way at our large outdoor fire pit. Eat casually at our handcrafted tree trunk center island or more formally with table seating for 8+.
The charming towns of Lutsen, Tofte and Grand Marais are nearby and offer all of the conveniences you can use. Day trip to the Canadian border or Split Rock lighthouse, or hike the nearby Superior Hiking trails. Lutsen Lookout has unique features you won't find anywhere else, like an outdoor ski gondola with intimate seating for two, and an outdoor hand-crafted sauna (open seasonally with permission) A claw foot tub in the master bathroom awaits you after a day of nearby downhill skiing, hiking or x-country skiing. In-floor heat keeps the toes nice and toasty throughout the cabin. Get lucky and see some of our wildlife neighbors like deer, fox, owls, eagles, coyotes, wolves, lynx, bobcat, pine marten and black bear who may make an appearance..
Lutsen Lookout is the perfect place for gatherings with friends and family. The large open spaces, luxurious eco amenities, gorgeous views and natural surroundings provide that up-north atmosphere to relax even those most stressed out. Plenty of outdoor activities await you right outside the front door. Or hunker down with good wi-fi, movies, board games, cribbage, checkers, crafting, or a good book. Prepare your own meals in the large modern kitchen which has it all! Or venture out to one of the nearby restaurants or pubs, just a mile or two away. Need a special occasion meal catered on site? That can be arranged too.
A large screened porch (with seasonal windows) connected to a 65' deck overlooking Lake Superior add to the living space and connect you with the surrounding nature. The Superior hiking trails, Gitchi Gami bike trail, ski slopes, alpine slide, X-country trails, snowmobile trails and the Superior National golf course are all very close by.

Thank you for NOT SMOKING. Lutsen lookout is a smoke free property. Responsible renters must be 25 years old. Winter and Spring access require all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicles. Groups of 10 or less. There are 3 security cameras outside the cabin located by the front door, garage and fire pit area. All linens are provided and professionally cleaned. You will find "safe-bags" to put your used linens in, so our cleaning crew to pick up and sanitize in a safe manner.
