Please be sure the bedding for the downstairs bedroom is on the bed. It was still in the dryer when we arrived. Also, you may want to consider letting people know about the steep drive. Our stay was great! Thanks!!

Hi Tim, I'm so sorry about the bedding. I wish I would have known at the time and I could have checked with my cleaning service to see what the issue was. The bedding should have been on the bed. As far as the steep driveway goes, we do post it in the property description. It says 'steep driveway, 4WD is recommended'. I don't know where else to put it? I'm so glad you guys had a good time!
One of the best cabin views out there. The hosts were nice and easy to communicate with. The cabin was on top of a mountain which provided great views. Sunrise and sunset was a must see from the deck. This cabin is a hidden gem around Grayson highlands.

Thanks so much Joe! We tend to agree with you about the views. Please come again.
A world away and a beautiful view…quiet, peaceful, relaxing…just a great place to take a break and slow down and be together. With Grayson so close, we had plenty of time outside too!

Thank you Kurt. We are so glad you enjoyed. Come back when the Creeper Trail has re-opened. It won't be long now!
The pictures don't do it justice! The property is huge, peaceful and private. Loved the trails for walking the pup, as well as the various outdoor seating areas to see all the views. The house is also incredible and truly makes you feel on top of the world when looking out the many windows. Kitchen is well stocked and house is clean with lots of areas for playing games, etc. Hosts were friendly and communicative.

Thank you Jen. We are so glad you enjoyed. Please come back!
The host was very welcoming, had very clear instructions, had great advice to make our stay more comfortable, and was helpful when we had questions. The sunrises out of the huge glass walls were fantastic. The cabin is huge and fun to explore. I can't wait to plan another stay here!
We had such a wonderful stay! The views were incredible—perfect for morning coffee and sunset watching. The trails were great for hiking and we loved having a bonfire in the evening. The kitchen was well appointed, which made cooking so convenient. Our dog had the best time too! A fantastic getaway all around. Highly recommend!
everything was wonderful! The home is beautiful, nice bedding and master on the main level mattress was comfortable. We saw deer on the property and hiked to the top of the hill.
Our group of guys certainly enjoyed the cabin and found it very comfortable. The deck and views were as advertised. Really enjoyed the nice big fireplace with the cold evenings. Kitchen was very functional. As others have mentioned, the drive up from the road is a bit challenging, especially in the rain, but having a 4-wheel drive was helpful.
This is an amazing home, that was the perfect location for being close to our daughter’s wedding in Grayson Highlands State Park. The home was very clean, full of amenities, and absolutely gorgeous! We would highly recommend this home.
Remote mountainside location with extraordinary views. The accomodations were perfect for our needs, a group meeting up for outside activities. It should be noted the drive is steep (all wheel drive is recommended but not necessary), but worth the ascent.
The cabin and surrounding area are amazing! Spent most of my time on the porch looking at the views. The cabin itself is a 10 out of 10… didnt want to leave. Plenty of hiking around, great trails in Grayson especially.
Everything about this cabin and the grounds around it is near perfect. You won't be disappointed staying here. Only note, is that AWD or 4WD is probably recommended for getting up the driveway. RWD vehicles will suffer the most trying to get up the steep driveway especially if the weather hasnt been ideal.
The cabin/house was beautifully situated, both for access to Grayson Highlands State Park and to take advantage of deck sitting with beautiful views. We enjoyed all the conveniences of the fireplace, fire pit, grill, and short hike to a crest for even more beautiful views. We woke up the first morning to 7 deer we could watch as we drank our coffee!
Todd and Sheila Lange have been married for over 30 years, reside in Statesville, North Carolina and have three children, a 31 year old girl, a 29 year old boy and a 22 year old boy. We have enjoyed many happy moments in and around Lily Ridge Cabin and love sharing it with friends, family and guests. Was always a dream of ours to build a home in the mountains and we were fortunate enough to be able to do so. The home and property is near where Sheila's father was born and the Cole Cemetery below the property is named after her family. Lots of history for her and now the rest of us in the area.
Why they chose this property
See above. It is most of all connected to us and extended family and offers a complete and unspoiled retreat from the world. The views are spectacular and at night there is absolutely no light pollution so the stars are limitless. The other things is the connection to the roots of Country Music and Blue Grass legends. Even if you don't think you like Blue Grass Music, try some contemporary takes from Allison Kraus, Sierra Hull, Dan Tyminski or old acoustic classics from John Prine, Jackson Browne while enjoying the fire overlooking the mountains. Turn the overhead lights off and use the floor or table lighting to make your stay warm and cozy. Get a feel for Appalachia through the proximity of Lily Ridge Cabin to the roots of County Music.
