Spend more time exploring with the best access to giant redwoods, breathtaking beaches, and phenomenal fishing. Return home to complete vacation mode with a game of cornhole, a campfire, and a hot tub under the stars.
Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek State Park, The Humboldt Lagoons, the Klamath River, Yurok Tribe headquarters, hundreds of miles of trails, backpacking, bike riding, fishing, camping, swimming, surfing, kayaking, tree-hugging, elk spotting, horseback riding, beachcombing, sand castle building, seal barking, rock skipping and driftwood fortress constructing... all await your arrival!
This humble home is wonderfully accessible yet quiet and secluded. Internet and cell phones work great due to the relatively close proximity to the Park's headquarters and visitors center. The market and snack shack are both within walking distance. At the bottom of the driveway, you'll find access to the levy trail which will take you to Redwood National Park trails or to the beach. You can also drive the road to both. While the Humboldt Coast is known for its fog this little area can get lots of sun and during the summer you can enjoy a dip in the crystal clear water of Redwood Creek.
The house is rustic and charming while also equipped with modern amenities. You will love your stay here however it is important to note that this is an older quirky manufactured home located close to the ocean and in a rainforest. The salt air and wet winters are hard on a house and there are a few odd twists and turns in this home that give it character. Everything in the home is in good working order and set up to enhance your enjoyment of this breathtaking environment.
Step outside the Humble Home and you'll find a gorgeous acre lot with plenty of yard and garden space to play. The porch has a panoramic view of Redwood National Park and the coast. You will love watching the sunset from the porch swing and hammock chairs. The luxury brand three person hot tub has a top of the line hydro massage. It's a great way to wind down after a fun day of exploring mother nature. There is also an outdoor eating area and fire pit with a cornhole set for hanging around the house and enjoying some quality time.
Inside, the kitchen is top chef with a double oven, 5 burner island range, microwave, dishwasher, instapot, toaster, blender, food processor, french press, single cup pour over, coffee grinder, electric water kettle, teapot, and more. There are lots of quality pots, pans, and cooking utensils. If you love to cook on vacation then you will be stoked on this setup. There is dinnerware for 8 both formal and plastic.
The living room is big and comfy with a wood burning stove and a great view of the creek and redwoods. Get cozy and play a board game, grab a book, or start in on a puzzle. There are extra blankets inside the cushioned storage bench by the living room windows. There is also a 100-inch movie projector for a real home theatre treat.
There are walk-in closets available in bedrooms 2 and 3. Bedroom 1 has its own bathroom with a double sink, stand-up shower, and a huge bathtub. The hall bathroom has a shower/tub. And as a bonus, both bathroom toilets are equipped with bidets. TMI? We think not.
Please let me know how I can make your visit amazing. Ask me about local adventures, I've hiked, ridden, and driven just about all of them! I have fallen in love with this area and I think you will too.
This home is equipped to host 7 very comfortably. For an extra guest, I can provide a fold-out twin mattress or a nice inflatable twin which can go underneath the loft bed in bedroom 3.

This humble home was the best place to experience the magnificence of the redwoods and the diversity of the ecosystems in the area. The house was well appointed, clean, and easy to access. It was the perfect place for our family of 6 to enjoy nature and spending time with each other.
We had a wonderful stay in this cozy, clean, and well-appointed home. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked; beds were comfortable; whole house was impeccably clean. The atmosphere was calm and quiet and the view from the front porch of the redwoods was beautiful. Communication with Justin was really great - he was incredibly helpful and responsive.Hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. The foosball table was also a highlight for our kids - it was hard getting them to leave :)The house is a perfect location for exploring Redwood National Park - we were less than 10 minutes from incredible trails (Trillium Falls, Lady Bird Johnson Grove, and Elk Prairie) and a very quick trip up to the Klamath River Overlook. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Redwood! Thanks so much to Justin and family for letting us stay in your wonderful home!
The house was ready early (thanks!) and pretty easy to find. Orick is SUPER small so not much to get lost in. Everything was in good repair and while this is a manufactured home, none of the usual issues with wear and tear were present.
This house was the perfect respite for us after long days hiking the redwood trails. Justin the owner was very communicative and invested in making sure we had a great stay at the house. We loved using the hot tub and being close to the state parks, plus getting dinner in Trinidad a little south of Orick. The setting and the house were great, and we’d definitely love to come back!

Wonderful! Your enjoyment of this magical area makes me smile! Thank you!
I am an outdoor enthusiast and father of 4. My partner taught me the joys of trail magic and since then I have been hooked on bikepacking, backpacking, kayaking, mountain biking and anything else that gets me enjoying the outdoors. I purchased this home in Orick, CA so my family would have access to some of the most amazing nature in the world. I hope you will enjoy the fresh air, tranquility and awesomeness that is the Northern Califonia Coast.
