The view is A+++++. Unfortunately, there is nothing else positive that I can say.

Furnishings are very old and tired looking. There is no place except the countertops and fridge to store food items. The beds are lumpy and uncomfortable. We have stayed at Sanddollar for twenty years, but NO MORE!

We only had a few problems while in the unit. The air conditioner probably needs to be replaced. We followed the instructions and kept it set at 74 degrees, but we found it couldn't keep it cooler than 77 and sometimes 79 degrees. The kitchen was remodeled and cabinets and counter top were gorgeous. I didn't know why they didn't replace the sink though! Why put in new cabinets and counter top and paint the sink and it was a sloppy job. For another $200 or less, you can buy a new sink. Even though there were ant traps everywhere, the small ants were everywhere too! A good exterminator should be able to treat this problem. We did enjoy everything else about the condo. It had plenty of room, plenty of towels, and there were umbrelllas and chairs to accommodate everyone. We would recommend staying here once the air conditioner and the ant problem was resolved.

The location and size are great! However, the decor is dated and "brown," and the guest room beds are uncomfortable. Blankets were threadbare. New art and fresh furnishings would make a great improvement!

Sanddollar Vacation

The condo is very nice and the beach is close but a little stinky...red tide or past storm brought stinky stuff on beach. The unit was clean, a little outdated and a few broken things...We survived and made the best of it...Area is beautiful and weather was great!!! Beach towels would have been nice, but we used bath towels and used washer alot! Royal Shell employees were wonderful and very accomodating!!! We will be back!
