Watch the sunrise & feel the tropical breezes while sipping your coffee from the comfort of the upstairs screened terrace of this lovely and neatly maintained two bedroom two & a half bath home situated on Sombrero Beach Road. This charming getaway is within walking/biking distance from Sombrero Beach.

The spacious open plan, living, dining, & kitchen areas, have vaulted ceilings which offer a cool & quiet retreat from the outdoors. The sofa in the living room converts into a queen size bed.
After a busy day of outdoor activities, you & your family can lounge in the comfortable sofas & enjoy watching TV or listening to music in surround sound. Stay in an enjoy playing board games or dominos with your family and friends. High speed, wireless internet included.

The modern kitchen has granite countertops & modern appliances, two door stainless steel refrigerator, microwave oven, & dishwasher, as well as all of the basic cookware, glassware, and kitchen utensils you will need during your stay.

The spacious master bedroom is appointed with a king size bed, a TV, & a chair which converts into a twin size bed for a child, a large walk-in closet & plenty of storage space in the dresser and night tables. This comfortable room has a private bathroom with two sink vanities, a shower & Jacuzzi tub for soaking after a long day of fishing & outdoors fun.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed, a walk-in closet, TV, & plenty of storage space as well. There is also an ottoman twin sleeper in this room as well. The downstairs terrace offers canal as well as ocean views & plenty of space to soak up the sun while lounging around the pool, sitting comfortably underneath the covered terrace, or cooking your catch of the day on the barbecue grill.

In winter months, the pool can be heated for an additional fee.
Store your bait in the freezer & your cool drinks in the fridge located in the utility room right by the pool where there is also a half bath for your convenience. After soaking in the pool or returning from the beach, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower.

For the avid fisherman, the 75 ft. dock has plenty of room to accommodate your boats and a convenient fish cleaning station. The dock can also accommodate a jet ski. There is also a dock ladder for your use. The canal all the way to the ocean has been dredged to 5' at low tide (December 2018).

Whether you are planning exciting fishing trips off the Florida Keys, snorkeling, diving or simply relaxing days at the beach, this welcoming retreat will be sure to meet all of your needs for a fun-filled vacation getaway with friends and family.

The screened in porch facing the ocean was a game changer. We had our coffee and breakfast there and relaxed. We also got to see the sun rise!!

We both found the property to be tired and dated. The pool in particular was in a poor state with many missing tiled and flaking paint on the hand rails.

We were double booked for this property. The rental agent gave us an alternate property. The alternate property was poorly equipped,(no bathmats,kitchen towels, no plastic glasses for use on the deck and pool area, numerous dinner plates were chipped, only two wine glasses, non-stick cookware was in very poor condition.) In addition there were multiple light bulbs burned out in the bathrooms and hallway. The rental agent did send kitchen towels and had maintenance replace bulbs. The pool was nice.

Beautiful property just as described and very relaxing. Property manager was a pleasure to work with and made check-in a breeze. We had a boat with us and utilized the dock with one slight issue it was difficult to get boat out pass unless tide was in. We do this trip annually and will try and book this location in the future.

Marathon vacation

The house was pretty much as pictured in the listing photos. Kitchen was well stocked, however I would suggest a few more staples, like paper napkins and plates, and extra paper towels. Beds were super comfy! Screened in porch was great! Had coffee out there every morning and watched the sunrise. Pool was warm and kept very clean. The listing view photos show ocean views, however a new home is being built that blocks most of the ocean view. That was a bit disappointing but overall it’s a very nice home.

Great Property!

We loved this house! The location is great as it's within walking distance to Sombrero Beach. The pool was very nice, and my husband and son loved fishing from the dock (caught quite a few fish!). Morning coffee and evening cocktails were enjoyed on the screened in porch. The house is very clean, comfortable and well stocked. We couldn't have asked for a better host than Lindsey! She was very quick to respond and took care of the one (little) problem we had in record time! Would definitely stay here again!

Convenient

The house is very centrally located to everything in Marathon. The house needs to be updated but it is clean and comfortable. The houses on each side are much larger and you can see from the screened porch into the backs of both houses plus there were multiple children and the noise was non stop for our entire stay. Also there is a house being built across the canal on the Atlantic which obscures the view that is pictured in the listing.

Perfect place for our stay in Marathon

We booked the Marathon area based on what I had read on Pinterest. We would definitely go back to Marathon. It is a very nice, clean city. The house is located on a safe road and only a 10-minute walk to the beach. Publix, grocery store, is not very far. It is about an hour+ drive to Key West on a good traffic day. We were happy with where we chose to stay for sure. No hustle and bustle. There are a few beach shops and eating places close. We were there in December and we highly recommend getting the pool heated. It was an added expense, but our girls used the pool at night a lot and it was very warm. We all thought the house was super nice and clean. Lots of towels and beach towels. Kitchen was fully stocked. The screened-in patio was sooo nice to sit out on during the week! Peaceful during the rain! We would like to have had a few beach accessories available to us to use as other beach houses we have stayed in have supplied beach chairs, balls, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental to anyone. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we did!
