About this property
Early 1800's Bayfront Farmhouse
This charming historical farmhouse with gorgeous waterfront and side views is located at the end of a beautiful ocean bay in Addison Maine. Built by a sea captain in the early 1800's, it served as the village's first post office, a maternity ward for midwives and a vacation home for many guests maintaining the same energizing warmth and hospitality it offered many years ago. Relax on the large front porch with your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine and watch the birds and seals, sometimes otters, deer, mink and moose! Absorb positive energy from the large tides that constantly change the view for you. Walk or bicycle to Crowley Island, a natural bird preserve and don't forget your camera, the area beaches are just minutes away and connect to trails with breathtaking views. It offers a charming dining and living room, eat in kitchen complete , a cozy library full of books including a children's section, board games, puzzles (a Maine favorite) and over 100 DVDs for a relaxing movie night. Tourist pamphlets and local restaurant menus are kept on premises to help you plan your days and nights. You will be just minutes away from grocery stores, local fisheries, restaurants, gift shops (Blueberry Land) and beaches. Less than 90 minutes away from Acadia National State Park, 27 minutes to Rogues Bluff State Park, 15 minutes away from Beals Island, an hour and 30 minutes to Lubec and Canada. This is a perfect get away for rest and relaxation and a chance to experience the magical shores of Maine. Experience a real "Down East Maine" fishing town with enchanting and picturesque views of rocky coastlines, lobster boats and wildlife. It is the perfect place to kick back, create memories and forget about life for awhile.

This was our second time staying at Elizabeth's place. The house has a nice view, a comfortable setting, is well stocked, and is spacious. More importantly, Elizabeth is a great host. She is very welcoming and accommodating. We're glad that we returned!
We had a wonderful time! The house is charming, clean, and fully stocked with all the necessities. Check-in was simple and Liz was very communicative during our stay. We will definitely be back again!
This is my family's favorite place to stay. It's always so peaceful and we have plenty of outdoor activities. The owner is always very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. We love it!
Always a beautiful and well kept property. It includes a well stocked kitchen, included bikes, and other equipment. The host is always responsive and happy to provide area tips. We come back every year!
Loved the house and its location. Dealing with Elizabeth was a joy. The three times we have stayed here shows just how much we cherish this house. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this house should be on your list.
Quiet and secluded. The house is much bigger that we expected. We bought fresh lobster from Look Lobster Co in the morning and cooked them in the evening. The house had everything we needed to do this.
We had a great stay here. The view was incredible!! We have family in the area so didnât spend a lot of time at the house but when we were there it met all of our needs. My son (11) was thrilled to see bikes for him to borrow. Elizabeth was great to communicate with very thoughtful in prepping her home and the items available for us to use. Would stay her again.
Third time staying at this property: charming old house, many things to do on the property and within walking distance if youâre a nature lover, wildlife galore (a family of bald eagles lives across the bayâŚ), and the ownerâs are extremely helpful. My husband has had to make me leave each year we have visited, and the moment we get in the van to drive home, I start planning our next trip up. Thanks again for sharing your home with us Liz!
Our stay reminded us of how lucky we were to grow up in that area. We were there for a family wedding and all worked out perfectly. Liz was very responsive whenever I sent a question along. Would highly recommend!
Loved the beautiful old home, loved the location! By far the best vacation we have had as a family. Loved that the home came well stocked with any thing we could have needed, and thoroughly enjoyed the bikes and kayaks provided. My husband and I are already looking at dates for next summer to book this home again.
My family spent a week at this beautiful home and enjoyed every minute. The views are gorgeous and the home is well-stocked with all that you need (cooking, reading, relaxing, kayaking, biking, grilling, etc). Thank you Liz!
Second summer staying in this beautiful home, and planning to book again next year. Amazing home, perfect location for nature enthusiasts, and the owner has been a breeze to communicate with both summers. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your slice of heaven- we canât wait for next summerâs adventure!
This was our second time staying at the farmhouse. The house is kept in excellent condition, amenities are numerous, and the location is just perfect. We love that the kitchen is well stocked so we really didn't need to bring anything but food. The kayaks, canoe, bikes, and tubes were bonuses and put to good use. It is peaceful and a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful as always
This was our third time staying at the farmhouse, and we love returning to this treasure each year! Our kids love the library full of children's books and games, and we love the peace and natural beauty of the setting. The community people are always so friendly, and the homeowner is wonderful and really cares about your stay. We can't wait to return again!
Wonderful water views. Lovely breezes. Very comfortable nicely laid out home, fully stocked. If you want cotton sheets bring your own and make sure you bring mosquito spray!
