Kihei Surfside is centrally located on the line between Wailea and Kihei and all of the dining, shopping, beaches and activities offered in both towns. The grounds here are spectacular! It is common to find morning yoga classes on the perfect grass area and is customary for guests and residents to meet nightly for sunset sips at the shoreline. Favorite Keawakapu beach stretches South and is perfect for long, sandy strolls as well as paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkeling. The neighboring resort is yards away and offers kayak and SUP board rentals as well as lunch and basic needs at 808 Deli and General Store and a new fine dining option is set to be completed in 2024.

The condo is very nicely updated. We certainly enjoyed the king bed. Both the bathroom and kitchen are very nice. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the whales from the lanai. Sunsets were amazing.

We stayed here the week of 2/26-3/5 and I can’t rave enough about the view off the back of the unit. You look out on the ocean and for those wanting to see whales, bring your binoculars and you can watch them all day long. This became our evening ritual - come back from dinner and have a couple cocktails on the lanai spotting the whales. Never turned the TV on once as this was nature’s show for us.The unit is comfortable and well appointed with beach chairs, beach and pool towels, etc for fun in the water. The kitchen has ample cookware; the bed is comfortable; A/C works well. Two people stayed here and I personally wouldn’t want to fit more than that. This is a quiet community and the evening blowing of the conchs at sunset was unique. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful spot for long walks down the beach and as far as the Polo Beach Club, and very good snorkeling just off the beach adjacent to Surfside.

Great Stay

The place was perfect for our week long get away. The condo was as described; small but absolutely fine for the two of us. The ocean view from the patio makes the whole thing worth it by itself. The property was great and the very walkable beach was just steps from the elevator doors. A nice little general store is across the street and great food options were just a short drive up the street in Kihei.

Superb stay

Superbly renovated condo, super-comfortable and location top-notch right on the beach. Its only flaw is that the building has no gym; the building next door does have an unlocked gym in the basement that no one was using, but Surfside guests are not supposed to use it.

Amazing place on the South Maui coast

Very tastefully appointed, modern condo, with a million dollar view, overlooking the pool, complex grounds, and of course, Maalaea Bay and west Maui. We had everything we could think of that we might need.

The property was beautiful, located right next to a beautiful beach and a quick car ride or medium walk to restaurants. The views are amazing, and the unit was as expected for a one bedroom condo. Very nice views/grounds/service

Wonderful view from the 5th floor onto an immaculate carpet of green, lava rocks, ocean, and islands. Beach is just south of the property and has super fine soft sand. There's a convenience store in the next door resort which is super nice when you forget something. The cleaning staff (including grill and pool cleaning) are friendly and thorough. We had an amazing week in Maui with this as a beautiful and comfortable home base.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at KSS, first time in 506. Everything is as described. The view is just spectacular !! The unit was well appointed, clean, the bed quite comfortable. The balcony is compact, 2 adults max will fit for dining etc. Highly recommend booking this unit!

A nice condo with a fantastic view and location

We arrived in the evening and had no problem getting in with the door code emailed to us. The unit was spotlessly clean and had A/c units in both the bedroom and the living area. It has obviously been updated with granite countertops and nice tile floors.We were glad to see that there was salt/pepper as well as a little olive oil and plastic wrap to get us started.The location can’t be beat in in a quite south Keihi. Neighborhood. It has a FANTASTIC VIEW!! The only downside was that it had a small living space with too much furniture in it. It was missing a cutting board in the kitchen. A great place for only two people.

Super cleanly condos and quiet complex

Condo was very cleanly and located in a quiet complex with friendly long term occupants. The sunset ceremony each night was an added bonus. The park next to the condo offered beach side loungers and fun activities each day to partake or watch. The AC project was underway when we stayed and the employees were very respectful, I wish our unit was one that was completed. However, the weather was not too warm so we were able to move the air throughout the unit easily, especially with the added fan in the bedroom. I really enjoyed the spaciousness of the bathroom. Unit is equipped with a small cooler, chairs and other amenities that was very helpful. I wish there were a couple more bath towels to prevent having to do laundry multiple times on an extended stay. All in all, the booking process was very user friendly, along with the check in process at the property. I would definitely stay in this location again.

Uncomfortable Stay

Great location and view, just a few comments. Upon arrival the condo lacked cleanliness with some sand on the floor and the bathroom had hard water spots. The listing showed the unit being renovated with A/C by the end of 2023 and our trip was in March of 2024. We let the property management team know the first night the A/C did not work and they were very responsive to getting it fixed, unfortunately this happened the last night of our trip (5 days later). The mattress had a deep hole on the right side about 18”x18”x at least 3” deep (we had to put a pillow in it to make it flat). The dishwasher had a missing piece for the soap reservoir so it could not closed, also the dishwasher door would open when running it. Overall, property management was good to work with and I would only recommend staying here if the above issues are addressed.

Whale watching at its best!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We sat for hours with and without binoculars watching the whales from the compact balcony. We would just shift the table & chairs around to make the space we needed . The property is as described, very modern and clean. We didn’t need the fan in the room, we just opened windows and let the trade winds keep us cool. The bed does have large dents where people sleep making it uncomfortable, this is probably the only negative thing I can say. Workers are installing air conditioning outside on the walkways, but it was no bother to us at all. That will be a nice addition. The shower has 4 body jets that are wonderful after a long day exploring. I would switching it with a large rainfall head to make it amazing! There was a tray with a note that welcomed us and said it had gifts/ treats for us to enjoy….. but it was empty. That was a little disappointing also. I never called about it, wasn’t that important. I also messaged the hosts when I booked about a late checkout because our flight is a red eye…. I never got a response. So , we are packing up now and driving around with all our luggage till 8pm. We love this town, and this was a wonderful place to stay very centrally located. Mahalo!!
